Fits Braven BRV-PRO and BPRO5CB speakers; replaces OEM part A007032.
3.7V, 3400mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full power to the speaker's amplifier and Bluetooth radio during extended outdoor use.
Connector inserts into the BRV-PRO battery slot with a positive-spring contact; no locking tab — seat firmly until you feel resistance.
We bench-tested this cell on a discharged BRV-PRO unit; BMS accepted the pack on first insertion with no cutoff delays or fault cycling.
Discharge this speaker to below 20% capacity at least monthly before recharging — constant top-off charging without a full cycle causes fuel gauge drift and accelerates capacity loss on the cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Braven BRV-PRO / BPRO5CB — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A007032)

This 3.7V, 3400mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Braven BRV-PRO and BPRO5CB portable Bluetooth speakers. It restores full power to the audio amplifier, Bluetooth radio, and USB charging output. Capacity and voltage match the OEM specification exactly.

  • BRV-PRO and BPRO5CB compatibility: Both models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. The cell draws from a single 3.7V rail that powers the amplifier, the Bluetooth chipset, and the speakerphone circuit simultaneously. One cell fits both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on a BRV-PRO unit, confirming the BMS accepted the pack without fault codes, the fuel gauge calibrated correctly, and the amplifier held voltage under high-volume load without triggering a low-voltage cutoff.
  • Monthly discharge cycle for BRV-PRO users: Because most people top off this speaker before it drops below 50%, the fuel gauge drifts over time and the cell develops shallow-cycle fatigue. Run the battery below 20% at least once a month before recharging to reset the gauge and slow capacity fade.

Why the BRV-PRO audio distorts before the battery indicator shows empty

The amplifier in the BRV-PRO requires a stable voltage above roughly 3.4V to drive the speaker cones cleanly at high output. As the cell ages, internal resistance rises and voltage sags under peak amplifier draw — even when the fuel gauge still reads 20–30%. The cell has charge left, but it cannot deliver it fast enough. Replacing the cell eliminates the sag and restores clean output across the full charge range.

BRV-PRO not waking from USB charge after sitting unused for weeks

Li-ion cells that self-discharge below approximately 2.5V enter a deep-discharge state where the BMS blocks normal USB-C charging to protect the cell. The speaker appears completely dead — no LED, no response. To recover the pack, apply a low-current trickle charge using a compatible cable and leave it connected for 20–30 minutes before expecting the LED to respond. Once the cell climbs back above 3.0V, the BMS re-enables standard charge input and the speaker will power on normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BRV-PRO sounds clean at low volume but the audio breaks up and gets harsh at high volume — is that the battery?

Yes. The Bluetooth amplifier and radio draw current simultaneously at high volume, and a degraded cell cannot sustain voltage under that combined load — it sags, the amplifier clips, and you hear distortion. The speaker itself is fine. Swap the battery and test at full volume; a healthy 3400mAh cell at 3.7V holds steady under that combined draw without clipping.

The BRV-PRO shows a full charge after only a short time on the charger, but playtime is noticeably shorter than it used to be — what causes this?

Constant top-off charging without full discharge cycles causes the fuel gauge IC to lose calibration and the Li-ion cell to develop shallow-cycle fatigue — the cell physically holds less charge than it reports. The indicator says full, but the cell is not. Run the speaker until it shuts off from low battery at least once a month, then charge fully from zero to recalibrate the gauge and slow the fade.

The BRV-PRO feels noticeably warm on the bottom during long outdoor sessions — should I be concerned?

Some warmth is normal — the amplifier generates heat during sustained playback and the battery discharges heat into the same enclosed housing. If the speaker becomes hot to the touch or shuts down unexpectedly, the thermal protection circuit is tripping. Keep the speaker out of direct sunlight during extended sessions, and make sure the fabric grille is unobstructed so heat can dissipate. A new cell with lower internal resistance also runs cooler than a degraded one under the same load.
