Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Braven Stryde 360 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (180017)
This is a 3.7V 5200mAh Li-ion cell replacement for the Braven Stryde 360 portable Bluetooth speaker. It fits the Stryde 360 only — match OEM part number 180017 before ordering. Capacity figure is taken from product data at 19.24Wh.
- Stryde 360 platform fit: The Stryde 360 runs a single-cell Li-ion pack at 3.7V nominal, feeding both the amplifier board and the Bluetooth radio from one shared rail. This replacement cell matches that voltage rail and uses the same connector footprint as the OEM pack, so the BMS handshake between the speaker's charge IC and the protection circuit completes without error codes.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Stryde 360 board. The BMS protection circuit triggered correctly at the low-voltage cutoff, and the charge IC accepted the cell without flagging a fault. No thermal events occurred during a full charge cycle.
- Fuel gauge reset after swap: After fitting a new cell, run the Stryde 360 down to the low-battery warning before charging it fully — do this once. Skipping this step leaves the fuel gauge calibrated to the old cell's wear curve, so the indicator will misreport remaining charge from day one.
Why the Stryde 360 audio distorts before the battery indicator reaches empty
As the Li-ion cell discharges past roughly 3.5V, internal resistance rises. The amplifier board pulls short, high-current bursts on bass transients, and the voltage rail sags briefly below what the amp needs to swing cleanly. The result is clipping distortion even though the indicator still shows charge remaining. This is a cell-condition symptom, not a speaker fault — a fresh cell with lower internal resistance keeps the rail stable through the same audio load. If you're hearing distortion at moderate volume with a battery that's more than two years old, the cell is the cause.
Stryde 360 won't accept a USB charge after sitting unused for months
Li-ion cells left discharged for extended periods drop below the minimum acceptance voltage that the charge IC will recognise — typically under 2.5V. The Stryde 360's charge controller sees a cell below its intake threshold and does not begin charging, so the USB port appears dead. Some charge ICs include a trickle pre-charge mode that slowly recovers a deeply discharged cell; connect the speaker to USB and leave it undisturbed for 30–60 minutes before concluding the port or cell has failed. If the cell does not recover to 3.0V within that window, replacement is the correct next step.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Stryde 360 plays fine for a while then the Bluetooth drops out at high volume — is this a speaker fault or the battery?
It's almost always the battery rail sagging under combined load. At high volume, the amplifier and Bluetooth radio both draw peak current simultaneously — the amp on bass hits, the radio on transmission bursts. An ageing or weak cell can't sustain the voltage, the radio drops its connection, and audio cuts. Fit a fresh cell and test at the same volume; if the dropout stops, the cell was the cause.
My Stryde 360 used to last much longer between charges — it didn't happen suddenly, just gradually over months. What causes that?
Shallow cycling is the main driver of gradual capacity fade in portable speakers. If the Stryde 360 gets plugged in whenever it drops to 50% or more, the cell never completes a full discharge-charge cycle, and the lithium chemistry degrades faster than it would with deeper cycles. To slow further fade on a new cell, let the speaker drop below 20% at least once a month before recharging fully — this keeps the cell chemistry cycling across its full usable range.
My Stryde 360 feels noticeably warm on the fabric surface during long outdoor sessions — should I be concerned?
Some warmth is normal — the amplifier and the discharging Li-ion cell both generate heat, and the fabric housing traps it. The concern is sustained heat above what feels mildly warm to the touch, which can indicate the cell is under high internal resistance stress, typically in an older or degraded pack. A healthy cell at 5200mAh stays cool at moderate volume in open air. If the housing stays hot at the same volume where it used to stay cool, the cell's internal resistance has risen and replacement is the next step.
