Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Harman/Kardon Esquire Mini 2 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (LI605447)
This 3.8V, 2100mAh Li-Polymer cell replaces the original LI605447 battery in the Harman/Kardon Esquire Mini 2 portable Bluetooth speaker. It matches the OEM dimensions at 48.30 x 54.00 x 6.00mm, fitting the slim chassis without modification. If your Esquire Mini 2 no longer holds a charge or shuts off unexpectedly, this is a direct cell swap.
- Esquire Mini 2 fit: The LI605447 cell uses a specific footprint and connector orientation matched to the Mini 2 PCB. The BMS on this board handshakes with the cell to regulate charge termination at 4.2V — a mismatched cell can trigger false full-charge cutoffs before capacity is reached.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Esquire Mini 2 platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, and the fuel gauge tracked accurately across the full charge window from 3.0V to 4.2V.
- Shallow-cycle care for desk-use speakers: If the Esquire Mini 2 sits on a desk plugged in most of the day, run it down below 20% at least once a month before recharging. Constant top-off charging without a full discharge causes fuel gauge drift and accelerates capacity fade on the Li-Polymer cell.
Capacity fade from constant desk-top charging on the Esquire Mini 2
Li-Polymer cells degrade faster when kept near full charge continuously. The Esquire Mini 2 is often used as a desktop speaker with USB-C connected most of the time, which keeps the cell sitting at 4.2V for hours. That sustained high-voltage state stresses the cathode material and reduces usable capacity over months. To slow this, unplug the speaker once it hits full charge and let it discharge naturally during use before reconnecting power.
Audio distorting before the battery indicator reaches empty
This happens when the cell's internal resistance has risen enough to cause voltage sag under amplifier load. At high volume, the amp pulls a current spike that drops the cell voltage momentarily below the point where the amplifier can maintain clean output — you hear clipping or distortion even though the indicator still shows charge remaining. The battery isn't empty; it just can't deliver current fast enough without sagging. Replacing the cell with a fresh LI605447 restores the low internal resistance needed to hold voltage above 3.5V under load.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Esquire Mini 2 show a full charge but the audio cuts out after about an hour of use?
The cell's capacity has faded — it reaches full-charge voltage quickly but holds very little energy. The fuel gauge reads voltage, not true capacity, so it shows full even when the cell can only sustain load for a fraction of its original duration. This is a common outcome in cells that have been shallow-cycled or kept at full charge for extended periods. Replace the LI605447 cell and run one full discharge cycle to let the fuel gauge recalibrate.
The Esquire Mini 2 Bluetooth drops out whenever the volume gets loud — could this be a battery issue?
Yes. At high volume, the amplifier and Bluetooth radio draw current simultaneously, causing a combined spike that sags a degraded cell below the radio module's minimum operating voltage. The radio drops the connection as a self-protection response. We reproduced this on the bench with a cell showing elevated internal resistance — the dropout disappeared after fitting a fresh 2100mAh LI605447 cell that could hold voltage above 3.5V under combined load.
My Esquire Mini 2 won't respond to USB-C charging after the battery went completely flat — how do I fix this?
When the cell discharges below approximately 2.5V, the BMS locks out standard charging input as a protection measure — the USB-C port appears dead. Most chargers won't initiate a charge handshake below the USB-PD minimum acceptance threshold. Connect the speaker to a USB port that delivers a constant 5V without negotiation (a basic wall adapter, not a laptop port), leave it connected for 20–30 minutes without touching the power button, and the BMS should re-initialise and accept the charge. If the LED still doesn't respond after that window, the cell is too far discharged to recover and needs replacement.
