Fits Mipro MA-505 portable wireless PA system, replaces OEM part MB-35.
22.2V 5200mAh lithium-ion cell delivers full amplifier and receiver power across extended operation cycles.
Connector seats into MA-505 battery slot with positive terminal forward; locking tab secures pack against vibration during transport.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake on first insertion; cell accepted full charging cycle without fault codes or balancing delays.
On first deployment with the MA-505, discharge the pack below 20% before recharging — constant top-off charging causes fuel gauge drift and accelerates capacity fade on this chemistry.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Mipro MA-505 Portable Wireless PA System — 22.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (MB-35)

This is a 22.2V 5200mAh Li-ion battery pack built to fit the Mipro MA-505 portable wireless PA system. It powers both the onboard amplifier and the integrated wireless receiver simultaneously. Capacity figure is 115.44Wh — confirmed from product data, not estimated.

  • MA-505 fit: The MA-505 runs its amplifier stage and wireless receiver off a single 22.2V rail. Both loads draw from this pack at the same time, so the cell count and BMS cutoff thresholds have to match the OEM spec exactly — a lower-voltage pack will trigger under-voltage protection during high-volume playback.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery through the MA-505's combined amp-plus-receiver load. The BMS held the output voltage stable across the discharge curve and cut off cleanly at low-cell threshold without tripping a hard fault on the unit.
  • Monthly full-discharge cycle on the MA-505: Run the MA-505 down below 20% at least once a month before recharging. Constant top-off charging without a full discharge causes the fuel gauge to drift, and the battery indicator will start reading inaccurately — you'll think you have charge left when the cells are already close to cutoff.

Why the MA-505 audio distorts before the battery indicator reaches empty

At high volume, the MA-505 amplifier pulls a surge of current that the aging or degraded battery can't sustain cleanly. Voltage sags below the amplifier's stable operating window before the BMS trips, and the amp clips — you hear distortion even though the indicator still shows partial charge. This isn't a speaker fault. It's the battery's internal resistance rising with age or cell imbalance, causing a voltage drop under load. Replacing the battery pack eliminates the sag; check that the replacement rests at approximately 25.2V fully charged before installing.

MA-505 warm to touch in its carry bag during extended outdoor use

The MA-505 generates heat from two sources at once — the Class D amplifier stage and the Li-ion cells discharging under load. When the unit is stored in a padded carry bag during active use, that heat has nowhere to go. Li-ion cells discharge less efficiently as temperature rises, which accelerates voltage sag and shortens the usable portion of the charge cycle. Always allow airflow around the unit during playback, particularly in warm environments. If the housing feels hot to touch, pause use for a few minutes and let both the amplifier and the battery pack cool before continuing.

Frequently Asked Questions

The MA-505 cuts out mid-presentation even though the battery indicator showed half charge — what caused that?

The indicator reading and actual cell voltage can diverge when a battery has been repeatedly topped off without full discharge cycles — this is fuel gauge drift. Under the combined amplifier and wireless receiver load, the cells hit the BMS low-voltage cutoff earlier than the gauge predicted, and the unit shuts down. Run the new battery down below 20% once a month to recalibrate the gauge. A fully charged MB-35 pack should read approximately 25.2V at the terminals before installation.

Bluetooth signal on the MA-505 drops out at high volume but recovers when I turn it down — is this a receiver fault?

This is almost always a battery voltage sag issue, not a receiver fault. At high volume, the amplifier pulls a current spike that briefly drags the pack voltage down. The wireless receiver shares the same 22.2V rail, and when voltage sags under combined load, the receiver's RF front end loses enough power to drop the signal. Turning the volume down reduces the amp draw, voltage recovers, and the signal returns. If the dropout disappears with the new MB-35 pack at full charge, the original battery's internal resistance was the cause.

The MA-505 won't power on at all after sitting in storage for several months — is the battery dead?

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage, and if the MA-505 sat unused long enough, the cells may have dropped below the BMS's minimum acceptance voltage. At that point the BMS locks the pack out as a protection measure and the unit won't respond to the power button. Connect the charger and leave it for at least 30–60 minutes without interruption — some chargers apply a low-current trickle to bring the cell voltage up to the threshold where the BMS will re-engage. If the charge indicator never activates after an hour, the cells have likely dropped too far to recover and the pack needs replacement.
