Fits Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 tablets; replaces OEM battery EB-BT575BBE and GH43-05039A.
3.85V and 4900mAh Li-Polymer cell restores full charge cycles on the SM-T570 platform.
Connector seats flush into the internal slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on device.
Bench testing showed clean BMS handshake on first insertion; voltage curve stable under WiFi plus display load.
After installation, run one full discharge to automatic shutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the fuel gauge calibration against the new cell.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (EB-BT575BBE)

This is a 3.85V, 4900mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Samsung Galaxy Tab Active 3 (SM-T570 series). It fits the 8.0-inch rugged Android tablet released in 2020. Install it when the original cell no longer holds a full charge or fails to power on at all.

  • SM-T570 series compatibility: The Galaxy Tab Active 3 variants — including the SM-T570, SM-T575, and SM-T577 — share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. All units accept the EB-BT575BBE cell without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on an SM-T575 unit and confirmed full charge acceptance via the onboard charge IC. The BMS communicated correctly with Android's battery service, reporting voltage and charge state without error flags.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after swap: After installing this battery, run one complete discharge to automatic shutoff — do not force-off the tablet — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the fuel gauge IC calibration against the new cell. Skip this step and the percentage display will drift from the first cycle.

Why the Tab Active 3 shuts down at 15–25% remaining after a battery swap

The Galaxy Tab Active 3 uses a fuel gauge IC that stores learned discharge curves from the previous cell. When a new cell is installed, the IC still applies the old curve, which maps the wrong voltage to a given percentage. Under combined screen-plus-WiFi load, voltage drops faster than the IC predicts, triggering a low-voltage protection cutoff while the display still reads 15–25%. One full uncalibrated discharge-to-shutoff cycle teaches the IC the actual voltage floor of the new cell — typically 3.4V — and eliminates premature cutoffs.

Fast charging unavailable on the Tab Active 3 after battery replacement

The Tab Active 3 supports Samsung Adaptive Fast Charging, which requires the charge IC to complete one recognised full charge cycle before it unlocks higher charge rates on a new cell. If fast charge is absent immediately after installation, connect the original Samsung charger and allow the tablet to charge from low to 100% without interruption. After that first accepted cycle, the charge IC re-enables the higher current profile. Using a third-party charger for this first cycle can prevent the handshake from completing — use the OEM adapter.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tab Active 3 says 80% but then dies with no warning — is the new battery faulty?

The battery is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC stored the discharge curve of the old cell and is applying it to the new one, so the percentage reading is wrong rather than the cell itself failing. Under screen and radio load, actual cell voltage hits the protection cutoff floor before the display reaches 0%. Run one full discharge to automatic shutoff — do not manually power off — then charge uninterrupted to 100%, and the IC will remap the curve to the new cell's actual 3.4V floor.

The Tab Active 3 percentage is dropping faster than expected from 100% — what's wrong?

This is fuel gauge drift caused by the IC calibrating against stale data from the original cell. The new cell has a slightly different self-discharge profile, so the gauge front-loads the percentage drop in the upper range. One complete discharge-to-shutoff followed by a full uninterrupted charge corrects the mapping. After that single cycle, the drop rate from 100% normalises to what you'd expect from a 4900mAh cell at 3.85V.

The Tab Active 3 gets noticeably warm during the first few charges after the swap — is the charge IC damaged?

Warmth during the first two or three charge cycles on a new cell is normal. The charge IC runs a conditioning phase — it applies a slightly higher initial current while it characterises the new cell's internal resistance, which generates more heat than a settled cell would. We confirmed this on the bench: surface temperature on the SM-T575 stayed within Samsung's thermal envelope throughout. If the tablet gets hot enough to trigger a thermal warning or pauses charging, that indicates a separate issue — check that the battery connector is fully seated and the contacts are clean.
