Fits Fun Beat VacuSmart 700 vacuum; replaces OEM battery CS-KSB002VX.
14.4V Ni-MH pack delivers 3500mAh capacity for sustained suction on cordless stick cleaning.
Slides into the VacuSmart 700 battery slot with a single-stage locking tab; connector seats flush.
We bench-tested the BMS under sustained motor draw—no early cutoff, stable voltage delivery under load.
Remove this battery from the charging dock immediately after reaching full charge; continuous dock dwelling degrades Ni-MH capacity faster than charge-only cycles.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Fun Beat VacuSmart 700 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 14.4V, 3500mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Fun Beat VacuSmart 700 cordless vacuum cleaner. It slots into the same battery bay as the original cell and uses the same connector configuration. Order this when the existing pack no longer holds enough charge to complete a cleaning session.

  • VacuSmart 700 platform fit: The VacuSmart 700 runs a 14.4V Ni-MH battery rail. This replacement matches that voltage exactly, so the motor controller and BMS handshake behave the same as the original pack.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the VacuSmart 700 platform. The BMS held cutoff correctly under sustained motor load, with no false overcurrent trips during normal operation.
  • Dock charging behaviour on Ni-MH cells: Do not leave the VacuSmart 700 sitting on the charging dock indefinitely. Ni-MH chemistry is especially vulnerable to trickle charge damage from continuous dock contact — charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

On the VacuSmart 700, suction loss that happens well before the low-battery warning is almost always a voltage sag issue, not a capacity issue. Under heavy carpet load or a partially blocked filter, the motor draws more current than rated — and Ni-MH cells respond to that spike with a voltage drop. The battery indicator reads state of charge at rest, not under load, so it can still look healthy while the motor is being starved. Clear the filter first, then retest suction under load.

Motor cutting out mid-use and recovering after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. When airflow is restricted — usually a clogged filter or blockage in the nozzle — the motor works harder and draws a sustained current spike that the BMS reads as a fault condition. The pack shuts output briefly, then resets once the current drops back below the trip threshold. Remove the filter, clean or replace it, and check the nozzle path for blockages. If the cut-out stops after clearing the restriction, the battery pack is functioning correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

My VacuSmart 700 loses suction halfway through the floor but the battery light still shows full — is the new battery faulty?

The battery is most likely fine. Under load on carpet, Ni-MH cells sag in voltage before the indicator registers low, so the light can read full while the motor is being under-powered. Check the filter first — a partially blocked filter forces the motor to draw above rated current, which accelerates voltage sag. Clean or replace the filter and retest; if suction holds longer, the pack is working as expected.

The motor on my VacuSmart 700 keeps cutting out for a few seconds then coming back on — what's causing it?

That stop-start pattern is a BMS overcurrent trip resetting itself. Restricted airflow from a blocked filter or nozzle makes the motor sustain a current draw above the pack's trip threshold, so the BMS shuts output briefly to protect the cell. Clear the filter and check the nozzle path for debris. If the cut-outs stop after cleaning the airflow path, the battery and BMS are both working correctly.

My replacement battery fades noticeably faster than it did when new — could leaving it on the dock have caused this?

Yes — continuous dock contact is a known cause of capacity fade in Ni-MH cells. The charger keeps pushing a trickle charge into a full pack, which degrades cell chemistry over repeated cycles. Remove the VacuSmart 700 from the dock once charging is complete rather than leaving it docked between uses. Going forward, charge only when depleted and disconnect at full — this preserves usable capacity across the battery's cycle life.
