Grundig VCP-5030 — 25.2V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BP25220G)

This is a 25.2V, 2000mAh Li-ion battery for the Grundig VCP-5030 cordless handheld vacuum cleaner. It replaces OEM part BP25220G and restores power to the motor and suction system. Fits the VCP-5030 platform directly, using the same connector and BMS communication protocol as the original cell.

• VCP-5030 platform fit: The VCP-5030 uses a 25.2V (6S) lithium-ion architecture with a BMS that monitors cell voltage, temperature, and current draw. This replacement matches that cell configuration, so the vacuum's protection circuit recognises the battery and allows normal operation.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this battery through full charge and discharge cycles on the VCP-5030 motor load. The BMS handled sustained draw across carpet-weight resistance without tripping, and all cell voltages balanced correctly at end of charge.
• Dock charging on the VCP-5030: Remove the battery from the charging dock once the indicator shows full. The VCP-5030 dock does not cut trickle current automatically — leaving it docked continuously accelerates capacity fade in lithium cells faster than normal cycle wear.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor draws more current than the BMS's sustained-load threshold allows. On the VCP-5030, a partially blocked filter forces the motor to work harder, pulling amps above the rated draw even at mid-charge. The BMS responds by throttling output voltage to protect the cells, which reads to the user as lost suction — not a dead battery. Clean the filter first, then retest. If suction holds, the battery is fine.

Motor cuts out mid-use and then recovers after a short pause

This is an overcurrent trip, not a failing battery. When the VCP-5030 motor hits a blockage or runs against heavily restricted airflow, instantaneous current spikes above the BMS cutoff — typically around 15–20A on this cell configuration. The BMS shuts the circuit down to protect the cells, then resets once current demand drops. Clear any blockage, check the filter is seated correctly, and confirm the intake path is unobstructed before resuming use.
