Fits Infinuvo Cleanmate S900 and S800 robotic vacuums; replaces OEM battery CS-ART271VX.
14.4V 2000mAh Ni-MH pack delivers 28.8Wh; adequate voltage margin prevents motor cutout on carpet.
Connector seats vertically into dock cavity with spring-loaded contact tabs; orientation marked on housing.
Bench testing showed stable voltage hold across full discharge cycle; BMS response time normal on load spike.
Remove battery from dock immediately after charge completes — continuous trickle charging degrades Ni-MH capacity within weeks.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Infinuvo Cleanmate S900 / S800 — 14.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This 14.4V 2000mAh Ni-MH battery fits the Infinuvo Cleanmate S900 and Cleanmate S800 robotic vacuum cleaners. It replaces the original pack when the unit no longer completes a full cleaning cycle or fails to power on from the dock. Capacity is 2000mAh (28.8Wh), matching the original specification.

  • S900 and S800 compatibility: Both models run the same 14.4V motor rail and use the same physical battery format and connector pinout, which is why one pack covers both platforms. No modification is needed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the S900's startup sequence and monitored the BMS under full-load draw. The cell voltage held steady through navigation turns and carpet transitions without triggering an overcurrent cutoff.
  • Dock charging behaviour on Ni-MH: Ni-MH cells are sensitive to continuous trickle charge. Do not leave the Cleanmate sitting on the dock indefinitely between uses — charge the unit to full, then remove it. This is specific to Ni-MH chemistry and matters more here than it would with Li-ion packs.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator shows low on the S900

Ni-MH cells exhibit voltage sag under sustained high current draw before the pack is genuinely depleted. On the S900, a partially blocked filter forces the motor to pull more current than rated to maintain suction, which drags cell voltage down early. The robot interprets this sag as normal operation but delivers noticeably reduced airflow. Clean or replace the filter first — if suction recovers, the battery is not the cause.

Motor cuts out mid-cycle and then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. It happens when sustained restricted airflow — usually a blocked brush roll or filter — pushes current draw past the pack's continuous discharge threshold. The BMS interrupts output to protect the cells, then resets once current drops. Clear the brush roll and filter, then check that resting cell voltage reads at least 14.4V before ruling out a failing pack.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Cleanmate S900 finished a cycle but the dock light shows it's still charging hours later — is that normal?

It is not normal and it will shorten the new pack's life. The S900's dock does not always cut trickle charge automatically when the Ni-MH pack reaches full. Leaving the robot on the dock for extended periods after a full charge degrades Ni-MH cells faster than regular discharge cycling does. Charge until the indicator shows full, then lift the unit off the dock.

The S900 powers on fine but loses suction halfway through a run even though the battery is new — what's causing that?

A new battery eliminates the pack as the cause, which points to the filter or brush roll forcing the motor to work harder than rated. Increased motor load pulls higher current, which drags cell voltage down mid-cycle and reduces fan speed even though the pack still has charge remaining. Remove and tap out the filter, clear any hair wrap from the brush roll, and run a cycle again. If suction holds, the battery was never the problem.

The replacement battery charged overnight but the S900 still shows a shorter cleaning area than it used to cover — what's wrong?

Ni-MH packs can arrive partially discharged from storage and may need two or three full charge-discharge cycles before reaching rated capacity. Run the unit until it docks itself, charge fully, then repeat — capacity typically recovers by the third cycle. If performance is still noticeably short after three cycles, check that resting pack voltage reads at or above 14.4V with a multimeter before assuming a faulty cell.
