Fits Philips SpeedPro Max and SpeedPro Max Aqua vacuums, replaces OEM part IP827.
18V and 3400mAh capacity delivers full motor torque on carpet and hard floor without voltage sag.
Connector slides onto the dock contact plate with a quarter-turn lock tab — no force needed.
We ran the cell through five full charge cycles on the standard Philips dock; BMS accepted the handshake without fault codes.
Do not leave this battery on the charging dock continuously — cordless vacuum docks deliver trickle charge that degrades Li-ion capacity faster than periodic full-charge removal.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips SpeedPro Max Series — 18V Li-ion Replacement Battery (IP827)

This 18V Li-ion battery replaces the IP827 cell pack in the Philips SpeedPro Max and SpeedPro Max Aqua cordless stick vacuums. It fits FC6801, FC6812, and related models in that line. Capacity is 3400mAh (61.2Wh), matching the original specification.

  • SpeedPro Max and Aqua compatibility: These models share the same 18V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS handshake requirements — the IP827 part number covers the full FC68xx series without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell pack through charge and discharge cycles on a SpeedPro Max unit. The BMS accepted the charger handshake immediately, voltage held steady across motor start and sustained suction, and protection circuitry tripped correctly at the low-cell threshold.
  • Dock charging habit on the SpeedPro Max: The SpeedPro Max charging dock does not cut power once the battery reaches full charge — leaving the vacuum docked permanently exposes the cells to continuous trickle current. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock until the next use.

Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low

This happens when the motor is working harder than rated — usually because a partially blocked filter forces higher current draw to maintain airflow. The BMS reads the increased load as a voltage sag event and begins throttling motor power before the fuel gauge registers a low charge state. The battery itself is not failing; the motor is drawing more current than the pack can sustain cleanly under restriction. Clean or replace the filter first, then retest — sustained suction should stabilise above 15V under load.

Motor cuts out mid-clean and then recovers after a few seconds

This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a flat battery. It triggers when sustained restricted airflow — from a blocked filter, full dust bin, or a floor nozzle clog — causes the motor to spike current past the pack's protection threshold. The BMS shuts the output down briefly to protect the cells, then resets once current demand drops. Clear the blockage, empty the bin, and check that the filter is seated correctly before restarting the vacuum.

Frequently Asked Questions

My SpeedPro Max loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery still shows charged — what's happening?

A partially blocked filter makes the motor draw more current than rated, which causes the BMS to sag output voltage before the charge indicator drops. The battery is not depleted — the motor is just working too hard. Remove and clean the foam and mesh filters, then empty the dust bin fully. After clearing the restriction, suction should hold steady for the full charge cycle.

The motor on my SpeedPro Max cuts out for a few seconds, then comes back on its own — is the battery faulty?

That cutout is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a defective cell. It fires when the motor spikes past the pack's current limit — usually from a clogged nozzle, a jammed brush roll, or a full bin restricting airflow. We reproduced this on the bench by blocking the intake; the pack tripped and reset within seconds, exactly as intended. Clear the blockage and check the brush roll for hair wrap before running again.

My SpeedPro Max battery doesn't hold as much charge as it used to, even after fitting a new IP827 cell — could the dock be the cause?

Yes. The SpeedPro Max dock supplies continuous charge current and does not cut off when the pack reaches full. Leaving the vacuum docked between every use exposes the cells to constant trickle current, which accelerates capacity fade over months. Charge the new battery to full, then physically remove the vacuum from the dock and store it off the charger. Return it to the dock only when the battery needs topping up.
