Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Rowenta RG7975WH/NS0 Series — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (N047-4S2P)
This 14.4V 5200mAh Li-ion battery fits the Rowenta RG7975WH/NS0 and related cordless stick vacuum models. It replaces OEM part numbers N047-4S2P and SS-2230002529. If the original battery no longer holds a useful charge or fails to power on, this cell restores the vacuum to full working capacity.
- RG7975, RG7987, RR7935 platform fit: These models share the same 14.4V battery rail, connector geometry, and BMS handshake protocol. Swapping between them requires no modification — the cell seats and communicates identically across the range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the RG7975 platform. The BMS balanced all cells correctly, the charger accepted the handshake without fault codes, and overcurrent cutoff triggered at the expected threshold under simulated motor load.
- Dock charging behaviour on this model: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock permanently. Continuous trickle charging on these Rowenta cordless vacuums causes measurable capacity fade within weeks. Charge to full, then remove the vacuum from the dock.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
On the RG7975 platform, suction loss often appears to be a battery problem but is caused by voltage sag at the motor under restricted airflow. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than rated to maintain suction — the battery voltage dips under that load and the BMS interprets it as a low-charge condition. The indicator shows two or three bars remaining, but the motor is already starved. Clean or replace the filter first. If suction returns to normal immediately after, the filter — not the cell — was the cause.
Motor cutting out mid-use and recovering after a short pause
This is an overcurrent trip from the BMS, not a general power failure. On sustained restricted suction — common when picking up carpet fibres or vacuuming thick rugs — the motor draws a spike of current that exceeds the BMS threshold. The BMS cuts output to protect the cell, then resets after a brief cooldown. If this happens repeatedly on a new battery, check the filter and brush roll for blockages. Clear the restriction and the BMS should stop tripping; if the cutout continues on a clean filter at normal load, verify the charger output is reaching 16.8V at the connector terminals.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Rowenta stick vacuum loses suction halfway through a clean but the battery indicator still shows charge — why?
This is voltage sag, not a dead battery. A partially clogged filter forces the motor to draw more current to maintain suction, which causes the battery voltage to dip under load — the indicator drops even though the cell has capacity remaining. Clean or replace the filter and the problem usually disappears immediately. If suction stays weak on a clean filter, check the brush roll for a wrapped obstruction restricting airflow.
The motor on my RG7975 cuts out after a few seconds on carpet and then restarts if I wait — is the battery faulty?
That cutout is the BMS tripping on an overcurrent spike, not a faulty cell. Thick carpet or a partially blocked brush roll causes the motor to pull more current than the BMS threshold allows, so it shuts output to protect the battery. Clear any blockage in the brush roll and filter, then test again. If the cutout stops after clearing the restriction, the battery is fine — if it persists on a clean machine, check that the charger is delivering 16.8V at the dock connector.
My Rowenta cordless vacuum's battery fades noticeably after a few months even though I charge it regularly — what causes that?
Leaving the vacuum on the dock permanently is the most common cause of early capacity fade on these models. The charger continues to trickle charge once the cell is full, and repeated trickle charging degrades lithium-ion cells faster than normal charge cycles. Charge the battery to full, then lift the vacuum off the dock and store it unplugged. If the battery is already showing significant fade, a full discharge followed by a single uninterrupted charge cycle can partially recalibrate the BMS charge indicator.
