When suction is sustained against a blockage — carpet pile, a clogged nozzle, or a restricted filter — current spikes past the BMS protection threshold and the circuit cuts power to the motor. The BMS resets after the load is removed and the cell voltage recovers slightly, which is why the vacuum comes back on after a few seconds. Clear the blockage or restriction completely, then confirm the filter airflow is unobstructed before continuing use.
