Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Sencor SRV 6250 / SRV 8250 / SRV 9250 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BONA18650-MF1)
This 14.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery pack replaces the original power cell in the Sencor SRV 6250, SRV 8250, and SRV 9250 cordless vacuum cleaners. It uses the same 4-cell 18650 configuration as the factory unit and matches the original BMS handshake required by Sencor chargers. Capacity is 2600mAh — identical to the OEM specification.
- SRV 6250, 8250, and 9250 compatibility: These three models share the same 14.4V battery bay, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol. A single cell format — 4INR19/66 — covers all variants, which is why one replacement fits the entire lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack on the SRV 6250 motor platform and logged the BMS response under full suction load. The protection circuit held steady at rated draw and tripped correctly when we simulated a blocked filter — no false cutoffs under normal use.
- Dock charging behaviour on Sencor vacuums: Do not leave the vacuum sitting on the charging dock between every use. Sencor's dock delivers a trickle current when full, and repeated trickle charging accelerates capacity fade in Li-ion cells. Charge when depleted and remove from the dock once full.
Suction dropping before the battery indicator reaches low
On the SRV series, suction loss usually happens at the motor, not the battery. When the filter is partially blocked, the motor works harder, draws more current than rated, and the BMS drops output voltage to protect the cells — even if the indicator still shows charge remaining. The vacuum feels like it is losing power, but the battery is responding correctly to an overcurrent condition. Clean or replace the filter first before concluding the battery is at fault.
Motor cuts out mid-clean then restarts after a few seconds
This is a BMS overcurrent trip, not a dead battery. Sustained restricted airflow — from a packed dust cup or clogged filter — pushes motor draw above the BMS threshold, and the circuit opens to protect the cells. After a short pause, the BMS resets and the vacuum starts again. Empty the dust cup, clear the filter, then restart. If the cutout repeats on a clean filter, check that the cell voltage reads at least 14.4V under load using a multimeter across the battery terminals.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Sencor SRV 6250 loses suction about halfway through cleaning even though the battery light shows it's still charged — is the battery failing?
Not necessarily. When the filter or dust cup is partially blocked, the motor draws more current than the BMS allows, so the protection circuit reduces output voltage before the charge indicator drops. The vacuum loses suction while the battery still shows charge because the BMS is reacting to overcurrent, not low capacity. Clean the filter and empty the dust cup, then test again. If suction holds after that, the battery is working correctly.
My Sencor SRV 8250 won't charge on the replacement battery — the charger light just flashes and stops.
Sencor chargers expect a specific BMS handshake before delivering a charge cycle. If the replacement cell arrived deeply discharged — below roughly 10V total pack voltage — the charger may reject it as a fault condition. Connect the battery to the charger, wait 30 seconds, disconnect, and reconnect. Some Sencor chargers will attempt a recovery pulse on the second connection. If the cell voltage reads above 10V on a multimeter and the charger still rejects it, confirm the OEM part number on the replacement matches BONA18650-MF1.
The battery capacity seems to have dropped noticeably after only a few months — it was fine at first.
Continuous dock charging is the most common cause on Sencor stick vacuums. The dock delivers a low-level trickle current when the pack is full, and repeated trickle cycles degrade Li-ion cells faster than standard charge-discharge cycles. Capacity fade from this pattern can appear within 3–4 months of daily use. Remove the vacuum from the dock once charging is complete and only return it when the battery is depleted.
