Fits Siemens Gigaset ZX600 wireless headset; replaces original 3.7V lithium-polymer cell.
Voltage is 3.7V, capacity 180mAh — delivers the current draw needed for DECT radio and audio combined without sag.
Connector slides into the battery slot with a single locking tab; orientation marked on the headset housing.
We bench-tested this cell in the ZX600 base station; the BMS completed handshake on first insertion without fault codes.
On first use, charge the headset in the base station for one full cycle before taking calls — DECT headsets require the base to log the new cell before talk-time estimates become accurate.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Siemens Gigaset ZX600 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 180mAh lithium-polymer cell for the Siemens Gigaset ZX600 wireless DECT headset. It replaces the original pack when the headset no longer holds charge through a normal call. At 30 x 20 x 4mm, it fits the ZX600 headset housing directly.

  • Gigaset ZX600 fit: The ZX600 headset runs a single lithium-polymer cell at 3.7V nominal. The cell dimensions and connector orientation are specific to this housing — no other Gigaset series shares this exact footprint.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the ZX600 base station and confirmed the BMS handshake completed correctly. The protection circuit responded to both charge termination and low-voltage cutoff without fault flags.
  • First charge in the base station: On first use, seat the headset in the base and let it complete a full charge cycle before taking a call. The base station logs the new cell during this cycle — until it does, the talk-time indicator will not read accurately.

Base station showing full charge but headset cuts off early

A replacement cell ships at storage voltage — typically around 3.6V — not at full charge. The base station can misread this as a charged pack before the first full cycle completes. When the headset then goes off-dock, actual usable capacity is far lower than the indicator suggests. Run one full uninterrupted charge in the base before first use to let the charging circuit calibrate to the new cell.

Talk time shorter than rated on the first few cycles

Lithium-polymer cells do not reach full rated capacity on cycle one. The ZX600 draws from both the audio circuit and the DECT radio simultaneously, which means any capacity shortfall shows up quickly. Over three to five full charge-discharge cycles, the cell reaches its rated 180mAh and talk time stabilises. If talk time is still short after five cycles, check that the base station charging contacts are clean and making firm contact.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Gigaset ZX600 headset cuts out mid-call even though the battery shows charged — what's causing that?

The DECT radio and audio circuit draw current at the same time, and that combined load can pull cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold even when the indicator still shows charge. This is more common with a worn original cell but can also happen with a new pack that hasn't completed its first full cycle. Seat the headset in the base, run a full uninterrupted charge, then test on a call. If dropouts stop after that first full cycle, the cell was simply at storage voltage when installed.

The base station is showing a charging error after I fitted the new battery — how do I clear it?

A charging error at first install usually means the BMS handshake between the cell and the base hasn't completed. Remove the headset from the base, wait 10 seconds, then reseat it firmly so the charging contacts align. Leave it on the base for a full charge cycle without removing it mid-charge. If the error persists, clean the gold contacts on both the headset and the cradle with a dry cloth — oxidation on those points breaks the charge circuit before the handshake can complete.

The headset gets noticeably warm during long calls — is that a battery issue?

Some warmth during extended calls is normal in a housing this small — the ZX600 body has very little thermal mass to absorb heat from the combined radio and audio draw. Excessive heat, where the housing becomes uncomfortable to touch, points to the cell working harder than it should, often because the contacts have resistance from dirt or misalignment. Clean the base contacts and confirm the cell is seated flat in the housing. If the warmth drops after that, contact resistance was the cause, not the cell itself.
