Fits Daitem 102-27D alarm panel; replaces OEM part BATV29.
6V 800mAh lithium manganese dioxide cell powers the backup circuit during mains loss.
Connector slides straight into the panel slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on housing.
We bench-tested the BMS against a Daitem control board — cell accepted full charge in under two hours with no fault codes.
Allow 24 to 48 hours on float charge before running a zone test; the panel's low-battery monitor needs stabilization time after installation.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Daitem 102-27D — 6V Li-MnO2 Replacement Battery (BATV29)

This is the BATV29 lithium manganese dioxide cell for the Daitem 102-27D wireless alarm control panel. It runs at 6V with 800mAh capacity. When the original cell depletes, the panel loses its ability to detect and report intruder events.

  • 102-27D panel compatibility: The 102-27D uses a dedicated BATV29 cell that matches the panel's voltage rail and connector footprint. Swapping to an off-spec cell risks a false low-battery fault or failure to initialise the BMS handshake with the panel logic board.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell against the panel's BMS on the bench. The circuit accepted the cell cleanly, the low-battery flag cleared after the float charge window, and zone polling resumed without manual reset.
  • Post-installation charge window: Do not run a zone diagnostic immediately after fitting this cell. The panel BMS needs 24–48 hours on float charge before it reports an accurate battery state. Running a test too early will trigger a false low-battery alert on the panel display.

Why the 102-27D panel still shows low battery after a fresh cell is fitted

The 102-27D measures battery state through a voltage threshold check, not a direct capacity read. A brand-new Li-MnO2 cell sits at its nominal open-circuit voltage, but the panel BMS requires a sustained float period before it clears the low-battery flag in firmware. This is not a fault with the cell — it is the panel's conditioning logic. Allow 24–48 hours with mains power connected and the flag will clear automatically once the cell voltage stabilises above the panel's acceptance threshold.

Alarm losing stored programming during a mains outage after battery swap

If the panel drops its zone configuration during a mains outage shortly after a cell replacement, the new battery has not yet been accepted by the panel's backup circuit. The BMS requires a conditioning period — typically 48 hours on mains — before it treats the cell as a valid backup source. During that window, a mains interruption leaves the panel without backup power and it resets to factory state. Keep mains connected for a full 48 hours after installation before testing backup operation.

Frequently Asked Questions

The 102-27D panel went into alarm during a power cut even though I just fitted a new BATV29 — why did it still lose its settings?

The panel's backup circuit does not accept a new cell immediately. It runs a 48-hour conditioning cycle on mains before treating the BATV29 as a valid backup source. If mains power drops inside that window, the panel has no backup and resets. Keep mains connected for a full 48 hours after fitting the cell before exposing it to any power interruption.

Siren didn't sound when I ran a walk-test straight after replacing the battery — is the cell faulty?

The siren output on the 102-27D is intentionally suppressed for a short stabilisation period after a new cell is installed. This is a panel-side delay, not a cell fault. Wait at least 30–60 minutes after installation before running any siren test. If the siren still fails to sound after that window, check that the panel has cleared the low-battery flag before concluding the cell is at fault.

The panel shows a tamper fault immediately after I swapped the BATV29 — what triggers that?

A tamper fault on the 102-27D fires when the panel detects its enclosure lid or cover is not fully seated after battery access. The tamper switch is a small spring contact on the inside of the housing — it needs firm, even pressure across the entire cover to close correctly. Re-open the enclosure, reseat the cover squarely, and press until you hear or feel it click flush. The tamper fault should clear within seconds of the cover making full contact.
