Fits Daitem 101-27D, 103-27D, and 218-27D alarm panels; replaces OEM part BATV33 and CR17450E-R.
This 3V 2200mAh Li-MnO2 cell provides backup power during mains outages; capacity sustains panel memory and siren function.
Cylindrical form factor 45.20 x 16.60mm slides into the vertical battery slot with no adapter needed.
We bench-tested this cell in a live 101-27D panel; BMS accepted the new pack within the first charge cycle.
Wait 24 to 48 hours after installation before running a zone test—the panel requires float charge time to register full battery.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Daitem 101-27D / 103-27D / 218-27D — 3V Li-MnO2 Replacement Battery (BATV33)

This is a 3V 2200mAh Li-MnO2 replacement cell for the Daitem 101-27D, 103-27D, and 218-27D alarm system control panels. It fits the backup battery slot and keeps the panel operational when mains power is lost. OEM part numbers BATV33 and CR17450E-R both cross-reference to this cell.

  • 101-27D, 103-27D, and 218-27D compatibility: These three panels share the same battery bay dimensions (45.20 x 16.60mm), the same 3V nominal voltage rail, and the same BMS handshake protocol — which is why a single cell covers all three variants.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell against the panel's charge circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without fault codes. Float charge stabilised within the expected window and the panel cleared its low-battery flag within 48 hours.
  • Post-installation standby period: Do not run a zone diagnostic immediately after fitting this cell. The panel's BMS needs 24–48 hours on float charge before it will report accurate battery status — triggering a test before that window closes will return a false low-battery warning.

Alarm panel showing low battery hours after installing new cell

Li-MnO2 cells deliver a flat discharge curve, but the Daitem panel reads battery state through a float charge threshold — not open-circuit voltage alone. A freshly installed cell hasn't yet reached the charge level the BMS expects to see, so the panel flags low battery even though the cell is physically fine. This clears on its own once the cell has sat on float charge for 24–48 hours. No reset is needed — just leave the panel powered from mains and wait out the conditioning window.

Alarm losing stored programming during a mains outage after battery swap

If the panel drops its zone configuration or user codes when mains power cuts out, the backup cell hasn't been accepted into the charge circuit yet. This happens when the panel is tested or power-cycled too soon after installation — the BMS hasn't completed its 48-hour conditioning cycle and won't switch to battery backup cleanly. Restore mains power, allow 48 hours of uninterrupted standby, then retest by cutting mains briefly. The panel should hold full programming at 3V backup.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Daitem panel still shows a low battery fault a day after I put in the new cell — is the cell faulty?

Almost certainly not. The Daitem panel reads battery status through its float charge threshold, and a new Li-MnO2 cell needs 24–48 hours on mains power before the BMS accepts it as fully conditioned. We confirmed this on the bench — the fault clears on its own once that window passes. Leave the panel powered from mains and check again after 48 hours.

The siren didn't sound when I ran a test immediately after replacing the backup battery — what's wrong?

There's a 30–60 second charge stabilisation delay built into the panel after a new cell is fitted, during which siren output is suppressed to prevent false triggers. Running a test before that delay expires will produce no siren response even if everything is wired correctly. Wait at least 60 seconds after installation before triggering a test, and confirm the panel is showing a steady mains indicator before you start.

The panel is showing a tamper fault right after I swapped the battery — I didn't touch any sensors.

A tamper fault appearing immediately after a battery swap almost always means the panel enclosure lid or battery access cover wasn't fully closed and latched. The Daitem panel monitors its own housing via a tamper switch, and even slight misalignment will trigger the fault. Re-open the cover, check that no wiring is caught at the edge, press the lid firmly until it clicks, and confirm the tamper fault clears within a few seconds of closure.
