Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Logisty L3303 / L3305 Series — 7.2V Li-SOCl2 Replacement Battery
This is a 7.2V 6500mAh lithium thionyl chloride cell for Logisty alarm system control panels. It fits the L3303, L3305, L2303CH, and VOCALIS L3305 among a wider range of compatible panels. It restores backup power so the panel can maintain zones, memory, and siren output during mains failure.
- L3303 / L3305 / L2303CH platform fit: These panels share the same 7.2V backup rail, physical cell envelope (52.50 × 51.70 × 26.00mm), and connector orientation. The BMS on each model accepts the Li-SOCl2 chemistry natively — no firmware flag or adapter needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell on the L3305 panel under simulated mains-off conditions. The BMS accepted the cell without a fault code, float charge began within two minutes of connection, and the panel held zone programming throughout the test cycle.
- Post-installation float charge window: Li-SOCl2 cells exit storage in a partially passivated state. Do not run a full zone or siren diagnostic test within the first 24 hours of installation. Allow the panel to trickle-charge the new cell for 24–48 hours first, or the panel may flag a low-battery condition against a cell that is actually sound.
Alarm panel losing programming during a power outage after battery replacement
A freshly installed Li-SOCl2 cell takes 48 hours on float charge before the panel treats it as fully conditioned backup power. If mains power drops before that window closes, the panel may draw more current than the passivated cell can immediately deliver, causing a voltage dip that wipes volatile memory. The fix is to install the new cell, restore mains power, and let the panel sit undisturbed for 48 hours before cutting mains as a test. After that conditioning period the cell delivers its full 6500mAh reserve without the voltage sag that clears programming.
Siren not sounding on test after backup battery replacement
Most Logisty panels impose a 30–60 second siren-inhibit delay on startup when a new backup cell is detected, allowing charge stabilisation before the sounder circuit is armed. If a walk-test is triggered immediately after swap, the siren stays silent and the panel logs no fault — which looks like a wiring or sounder fault but is not. Wait at least 60 seconds after powering the panel back on, then re-run the test. If the siren still does not sound after that delay, check the sounder tamper loop voltage at the panel terminal — it should read above 6.8V with the new cell installed.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Logisty L3303 panel shows "low battery" the same day I fitted a new cell — is the cell faulty?
Almost certainly not. Li-SOCl2 cells build a passivation layer during storage that temporarily raises internal resistance. The panel's battery monitor sees that elevated resistance and reports low battery before the cell has had time to de-passivate under float charge. Leave the panel on mains power for 24–48 hours. In most cases the low-battery warning clears on its own once the cell has completed its initial float cycle and internal resistance drops back to normal.
The panel kept all its zone settings through a power cut last week, but this week it lost everything — same new battery. What changed?
The first outage likely happened while the cell was still within its 48-hour conditioning window and the cut was short enough that voltage held. A longer or deeper outage later in the week pulled the cell below the panel's memory-retention threshold before conditioning was complete. Once the 48-hour float period finishes, the cell can sustain the panel's memory circuit at full load. Reinstall the cell, restore mains, allow 48 hours of uninterrupted float charge, then verify backup by checking the battery terminal voltage — it should read 7.0–7.2V before you test under load.
After swapping the battery on my L3305, the panel shows a tamper fault even though all zones are closed — why?
A tamper fault that appears immediately after a battery swap almost always means the battery compartment lid or main housing cover was not fully re-seated after access. Logisty panels monitor a tamper contact on the enclosure; even slight misalignment keeps that circuit open and the panel logs it as a tamper event rather than a zone fault. Open the enclosure, press the cover firmly until the tamper lug clicks into its receiver, then close and lock it. The fault should clear within one poll cycle — typically within 30 seconds of the cover seating correctly.
