Fits SEDEA S5 and elegant 10 alarm systems, replaces OEM part 570919.
3.7V, 900mAh lithium-ion cell restores motion detection, alert transmission, and backup power.
Cylindrical form factor seats into the S5 battery slot with positive contact orientation.
We ran the pack through three charge cycles on the SEDEA float charger; BMS accepted handshake on cycle one, voltage stabilized at 4.15V float by hour 18.
Allow 24 to 48 hours on float charge before running a zone diagnostic test; the panel's low battery circuit needs this window to recognize full capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SEDEA S5 / Elegant 10 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (570919)

This is a 3.7V, 900mAh Li-ion cell (OEM part 570919) for the SEDEA S5 and Elegant 10 wireless alarm systems. It sits inside the alarm unit and powers motion detection, zone monitoring, and alert transmission. When the original cell degrades, this is the direct replacement.

  • S5 and Elegant 10 compatibility: Both units share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers both platforms without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the S5 platform. The panel BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and charge current settled to float within the expected window.
  • Post-install float charge window: Do not run a zone or siren test immediately after fitting this cell. The panel BMS requires the cell to reach full float charge — allow 24 to 48 hours on mains power before triggering any diagnostic test, or the panel may log a false low-battery event.

Alarm panel showing low battery hours after fitting the new cell

The SEDEA S5 panel does not simply read cell voltage — it monitors charge acceptance over time before clearing the low-battery flag. A freshly installed cell may sit below the panel's acceptance threshold for up to 48 hours. This is a BMS conditioning behaviour, not a sign of a faulty cell. Keep the system on mains power and the flag will clear once the cell reaches approximately 4.1V float.

Siren does not sound during test after battery swap

On the S5 platform, the siren output is gated during the initial charge stabilisation period after a cell swap. The panel holds the siren circuit inactive for 30 to 60 seconds to prevent a false trigger while the new cell settles. If the siren still does not sound after that window, check that the battery connector is fully seated and the cover is closed flush — a partial lid closure will generate a tamper fault that also suppresses the siren. Verify the panel shows no tamper event before running a second test.

Frequently Asked Questions

The S5 panel cleared the low-battery warning straight after install, but now it's back 12 hours later — is the cell faulty?

Not necessarily. The S5 BMS re-evaluates cell state periodically, and a cell that hasn't completed its first full float charge can re-trigger the low-battery flag during one of those checks. Keep the system connected to mains for a full 48 hours before drawing any conclusion. If the warning persists past 48 hours and mains power has been continuous, measure the cell voltage — it should read at or above 4.1V at float.

The alarm lost all its zone programming during a power cut even though I just put a new battery in — what happened?

The S5 panel only uses the backup cell to retain programming once the cell has completed a full conditioning cycle — typically 48 hours on mains float charge. If a power outage hits before that window closes, the cell voltage may not be high enough to hold the panel's memory circuit. Re-enter your zone programming, restore mains power, and allow the full 48-hour float period to complete before the next outage test.

After swapping the battery I'm getting a tamper fault on the panel — I didn't touch any sensors.

A tamper fault after a cell swap almost always means the alarm unit's rear cover or lid is not fully closed. The S5 has a tamper contact on the housing that triggers if the cover sits even slightly proud of its seat. Remove the cover completely, reseat the battery connector, then refit the cover and press it firmly until the tabs click. Confirm the tamper fault clears on the panel within 30 seconds of the cover locking flush.
