Replaces BAT-M10 and 1ICP5/58/94 battery part numbers for Acer Liquid S2 and S520 smartphones.
3.8V and 3000mAh capacity deliver the same power curve as the original cell on standard Android loads.
Connector aligns vertically into the battery slot with the positive terminal toward the device motherboard contact.
We ran a full discharge cycle on the Liquid S2 motherboard test rig; the BMS accepted charge without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against the new cell discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Acer Liquid S2 / S520 — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BAT-M10)

This is a 3.8V, 3000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Acer Liquid S2, S520, Liquid Jade S2, and S58A smartphones. It matches OEM part numbers BAT-M10 and KT.0010S.007. Physical dimensions are 96.86 × 56.66 × 4.35 mm — confirm these against your existing cell before installing.

  • Liquid S2 and S520 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. One cell covers the full range listed without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Liquid S2 platform. The BMS accepted the cell, reported state-of-charge correctly after one full cycle, and thermal cutoff triggered within spec under sustained load.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before any high-current charge session pushes current into an uncalibrated cell.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Liquid S2 after cell swap

A new Li-Polymer cell has a slightly different voltage-versus-capacity curve than the aged cell the fuel gauge IC was calibrated against. When the modem fires or the screen brightness spikes, current draw pulls cell voltage down sharply — crossing the BMS undervoltage cutoff even though the OS still shows charge remaining. The device shuts off to protect the cell. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard rate resets the coulomb counter and aligns the fuel gauge to the new cell's actual curve. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% stop.

Phone not powering on after the replacement battery sat in storage

Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell voltage drops below approximately 2.5V, the BMS enters lockout mode and blocks all charge current to prevent damage. A standard charger will appear to do nothing — no charging indicator, no response. To recover the cell, connect the phone to a known-good wall adapter and leave it undisturbed for 15–30 minutes. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell at a low current rate to bring voltage back above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 3.0V, before resuming normal charging.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Acer Liquid S2 shows 25% battery and then just dies — is the new cell faulty?

The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the S2 is calibrated to the discharge curve of the original cell — when a new cell with a different internal resistance profile is installed, the reported percentage diverges from actual voltage. Under modem or screen load, cell voltage drops faster than the gauge expects and the BMS cuts power to protect the cell. Run one full discharge-charge cycle at standard charge rate (no fast charge) and the coulomb counter will recalibrate to the new cell. Shutdowns at 25–30% stop after that cycle.

The battery percentage on my Liquid S2 is jumping around erratically after fitting this replacement — 60% one minute, 45% the next.

Erratic percentage readings after a cell swap are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a defective battery. The S2's fuel gauge uses a coulomb counter that was mapped to the old cell's charge and discharge behaviour. The new cell's impedance and voltage curve are different, so the counter loses position and jumps. Discharge the phone fully until it shuts itself off, then charge to 100% in one uninterrupted session at standard rate. After two full cycles, the gauge stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working on my Liquid S2 after I replaced the battery — the phone just charges slowly now.

On the first charge cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC on the S2 often defaults to a conservative low-current rate while it characterises the new cell's impedance. This is normal BMS behaviour — it is not a fault with the replacement cell or the charger. Complete one full charge at this slower rate without interrupting the session. On the second and subsequent cycles, the charge IC accepts the higher current rate and fast charging resumes. If slow charging persists beyond three full cycles, check that the USB cable and adapter both support the required current output for the S2.
