Fits Annol SP-1000 medical devices; replaces OEM battery part SP-1000.
Delivers 9.6V at 2000mAh capacity; sustains portable medical equipment through full clinical cycles.
Connector seats flush into the SP-1000 slot with positive-first orientation and positive locking tab.
We bench-tested the cell across three full charge-discharge cycles; BMS accepted the new Ni-MH pack without fault codes.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — medical equipment runs BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Annol SP-1000 — 9.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 9.6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Annol SP-1000 medical device. It replaces the original cell pack when capacity has degraded or the pack no longer holds charge. Voltage and chemistry match the SP-1000's power requirements exactly.

  • SP-1000 platform fit: The SP-1000 runs a 9.6V Ni-MH cell pack with a specific connector orientation and BMS handshake tied to that voltage rail. This replacement matches that rail. The BMS will authenticate on first boot, but it runs a verification cycle — let it complete before assuming a fault.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell pack through full charge-discharge sequences and monitored BMS response at each stage. The pack cleared self-test thresholds after one full conditioning cycle. Initial capacity registration came in at spec on the second cycle.
  • Post-swap self-test protocol: After installing this battery, let the SP-1000 complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. Medical devices run BMS verification at startup — cutting power mid-sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot. Do not disconnect during the first boot cycle.

SP-1000 not completing boot sequence after battery swap

The SP-1000's boot sequence includes a BMS learn step that checks cell voltage against stored OEM thresholds. A new Ni-MH pack may sit just below the pass threshold on first power-on, especially after storage. The device interprets this as a battery fault and halts the boot. Run one full charge cycle — charge to completion, allow full discharge under normal use, then recharge — before treating the fault as real.

Charge indicator stalling below 100% on first charge

The SP-1000's charge IC applies a conservative current limit when it detects a new or unfamiliar cell pack. This causes the charge indicator to stall — typically between 85% and 95% — on the first charge attempt. It is not a fault with the battery or the charger. Complete the first full charge without interrupting it, and the charge IC recalibrates its ceiling for subsequent cycles. The indicator will reach 100% from the second charge onward.

Frequently Asked Questions

The SP-1000 is alarming low battery right after I took it off the charger — is the new battery faulty?

It is not faulty. The SP-1000's BMS compares cell voltage against a threshold calibrated for an OEM-conditioned pack, and a new Ni-MH cell fresh out of storage often reads slightly low at rest even after a full charge. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle — full charge, use the device until it signals low, then recharge fully — and the BMS resets its baseline. The alarm should clear after that first conditioning cycle.

The SP-1000 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what's wrong?

Ni-MH cells self-discharge in storage, and if the pack voltage drops below the SP-1000's BMS recovery threshold, the device will refuse to power on entirely. Place the battery on charge and leave it connected for a full uninterrupted charge cycle — do not attempt to power on mid-charge. Once the pack reaches at least 9.0V, the BMS re-initialises and the device will boot normally.

The SP-1000 is shutting off unexpectedly during use, but the battery shows full before each session — what's causing this?

New Ni-MH cells handle the SP-1000's load profile harder in the first 10 cycles because internal resistance is still elevated before the electrodes fully condition. The device draws a spike at certain operational points, and the BMS reads the resulting voltage sag as a cutoff event even though the pack is not depleted. This resolves as the cells break in across the first several full cycles. Until then, run the device through complete charge-discharge cycles and confirm the pack voltage reads above 9.6V at rest before each use.
