Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Asus PadFone S / PF500K — 3.8V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (C11P1323)
This is a 3.8V, 4900mAh Li-Polymer cell built to fit the Asus PadFone S (PF500K, P93L, P92L). It replaces OEM part C11P1323 and secondary reference 0B200-00810000. Capacity figures come from our product data — 18.62Wh total energy at rated voltage.
- PadFone S variant coverage: The PF500K, P93L, and P92L share the same physical cell envelope (123.70 × 62.00 × 4.50 mm), connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — so one cell covers all listed variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the PadFone S platform. The BMS accepted the new cell without error flags, and the charge IC completed a full CC-CV cycle to 4.35V as expected.
- First-cycle fuel gauge reset: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge down to auto-shutoff, then charge to 100% on standard current. The fuel gauge IC on the PadFone S calibrates its coulomb counter against the new cell's discharge curve during that first cycle — skipping it leaves the percentage readout inaccurate for weeks.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the PadFone S after a cell swap
A new Li-Polymer cell has a slightly different internal resistance profile than the aged cell it replaces. The PadFone S modem radio and display draw brief high-current spikes that can pull cell voltage below the BMS cutoff threshold — even when the fuel gauge still reads 25%. This is a voltage cliff event, not a capacity fault. It resolves after 2–3 full discharge-charge cycles as the fuel gauge IC maps the new cell's actual voltage-versus-capacity curve and adjusts the shutdown trigger point accordingly.
Phone warm near the battery during the first few charges after replacement
A fresh high-capacity Li-Polymer cell starts with higher impedance than a broken-in one. The charge IC on the PadFone S pushes constant current into that higher-impedance cell, and the resistance converts some of that energy to heat. This is expected behaviour for the first three to five cycles — not a fault with the cell or the charge circuit. If the back panel stays noticeably warm beyond five full cycles, check that the replacement cell's thickness matches the 4.50 mm spec, as an oversized cell pressed against the chassis traps heat against the charge IC.

Frequently Asked Questions
My PadFone S shows the wrong battery percentage after I put in the new cell — it jumped from 45% to 15% with no warning. What's happening?
The fuel gauge IC on the PadFone S is still running the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded cell. When the new cell's voltage doesn't match the stored curve at a given state of charge, the percentage reading snaps to wherever the voltage actually lands on the old map. Run one full discharge to auto-shutoff and then a full charge to 100% on standard (non-fast) charging — after that single calibration cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference and the percentage readout stabilises.
Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery — the phone charges slowly now even with the original charger. Is the port damaged?
The port is almost certainly fine. On the PadFone S, the charge IC negotiates fast-charge current with the battery's BMS before stepping up beyond standard current. On the first cycle after a cell swap, the BMS often responds conservatively to that handshake and the IC defaults to 5V standard current as a safety fallback. Plug in the original charger, let the phone complete one full charge cycle without interrupting it, then unplug and replug — the BMS handshake succeeds on the second negotiation in most cases and fast charging resumes.
The PadFone S won't turn on at all after the new battery sat in a drawer for a few months before I installed it — is the cell dead?
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell before installation, the BMS trips into lockout mode to prevent damage and blocks all output. Connect the phone to the original Asus charger and leave it plugged in for 30–40 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC trickle-charges the cell at low current until voltage climbs above the BMS recovery threshold of around 3.0V, at which point the BMS unlocks and the phone powers on normally.
