Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Bea-fon Classic Line C30 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (ICP4/38/57 1S1P)
This 3.7V Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Bea-fon Classic Line C30 mobile phone. It delivers 1050mAh (3.89Wh) capacity at the same voltage and physical footprint as the factory unit. Dimensions are 61.95 × 38.00 × 4.50mm — verify against your existing cell before fitting.
- Classic Line C30 fitment: The C30 uses a single-cell 1S1P configuration on a 3.7V rail. This cell matches that architecture — same connector orientation, same BMS contact layout, same physical envelope. No modifications needed.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a C30 unit. The BMS handshake completed correctly, charge termination triggered at the expected voltage, and the fuel gauge IC accepted the new cell without throwing a fault state.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting, disable fast charging if your charger supports it and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle before normal use. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before it starts reporting percentages to the OS.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the C30 after a cell swap
The C30's fuel gauge IC holds a discharge curve calibrated to the original cell. A new cell has a slightly different voltage-to-capacity curve, so the IC underestimates how close the cell is to its minimum voltage. Under brief high-current loads — a call connecting, the screen at full brightness — the cell voltage sags below the BMS cutoff threshold before the gauge shows low battery. One full discharge cycle, draining until the phone shuts itself off naturally, then a full charge, resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve. After that cycle, shutdowns at 20–30% stop.
Phone not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If this cell dropped below approximately 2.5V during transit or shelf time, the BMS may have entered a lockout state to prevent damage from deep discharge. The phone will show nothing — no charging animation, no response. Connect it to a wall charger, not a PC port, and leave it for 15–20 minutes without interruption. A wall charger supplies stable 5V at sufficient current for the charge IC to trickle the cell back above the BMS re-enable threshold, typically around 2.9V, after which normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions
The C30 shows 25% battery and then just switches off — why does this keep happening with the new cell?
The fuel gauge IC on the C30 is still using the discharge curve it learned from the old, degraded cell. A fresh cell holds voltage higher for longer, then drops more steeply at the low end — the IC doesn't know that yet and cuts the phone off before it can warn you. Run one complete cycle: use the phone until the BMS shuts it down on its own, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single cycle recalibrates the coulomb counter to the new cell's actual curve and the early shutdowns stop.
The C30 battery percentage is jumping around — it was at 60%, I made a call, and it dropped to 31% instantly.
Erratic percentage readings are a fuel gauge IC recalibration issue, not a fault with the cell itself. The IC is interpolating capacity from voltage readings that don't yet match the new cell's curve, so short high-current events like a voice call cause it to re-estimate wildly. Complete two full discharge-charge cycles without interrupting the charge — this gives the IC enough data points across the full voltage range to stabilise its readings. After the second full cycle, percentage jumps of this size should be gone.
The C30 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging after I fitted the new cell — is that normal?
Some warmth during the first few charge cycles on a new cell is expected. A new high-impedance cell has slightly higher internal resistance than a broken-in one, so the charge IC dissipates a little more energy as heat in the early cycles. That warmth should reduce noticeably after the third full charge cycle as the cell's impedance settles. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — remove it from the charger and check that the battery contacts are seated flat against the cell pads; a poorly seated cell increases contact resistance and heat significantly.
