This 7.4V 2600mAh Li-ion battery replaces part number 745531-0010 in the Bose SoundLink Revolve+ and Revolve+ 2 portable Bluetooth speakers. It fits models 071478 and the Soundlink Revolve Plus across both generations. Voltage and cell format match the original pack exactly.

  • Revolve+ and Revolve+ 2 compatibility: Both generations share the same 7.4V cell configuration, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The fuel gauge and protection circuit communication remain identical between the two, so one battery covers both platforms without any hardware modification.

Bluetooth dropping at high volume on the Revolve+

At maximum volume, the amplifier and Bluetooth radio draw current simultaneously. On a worn or deeply discharged pack, combined load causes voltage sag that briefly pulls cell voltage below the radio module's operating threshold. The Bluetooth stack interprets this as a signal fault and drops the connection. A fresh 2600mAh pack maintains the voltage headroom needed to supply both loads at once without sagging into cutoff territory.

Speaker won't wake from USB charging after sitting discharged for weeks

If the Revolve+ sits unused for an extended period, the cell can discharge below the minimum acceptance voltage for USB-C power delivery — typically around 2.5V per cell. The charger handshake fails because the BMS blocks charge input to protect the cell. Connect the USB-C cable and leave it undisturbed for 15–20 minutes. The BMS on this pack includes a low-voltage recovery mode that allows a trickle pre-charge to bring the cell back above 3.0V before switching to normal CC/CV charge.

That symptom is fuel gauge drift, not a failing cell. Shallow cycling — charging the speaker before it drops below 50% — causes the battery management system to lose accurate track of true capacity. The audio distorts and sounds clipped before the battery indicator even reaches empty — what's causing that?

This is voltage sag under amplifier load, not a software or speaker fault. As the cell depletes, internal resistance rises and voltage drops under the amplifier's current draw — the amp clips the signal before the BMS triggers a low-battery cutoff. A fresh 2600mAh cell has lower internal resistance and holds voltage more consistently across the discharge curve. If distortion still appears early after fitting the new battery, check that the speaker firmware is current, as Bose has released updates that adjust the amplifier's low-voltage behaviour.

The Revolve+ gets noticeably warm during long listening sessions — is that a problem with the battery or the speaker itself?

Both the amplifier and the discharging Li-ion cell generate heat, and the fabric housing traps it. Some warmth is normal. The concern is if the housing becomes hot to the touch — that indicates the BMS thermal protection is working harder than it should, usually from extended high-volume use in a warm room. Keep the speaker out of direct sunlight during playback and avoid placing it on soft surfaces like cushions that block the base vent. If the unit shuts down mid-session, let it cool for ten minutes before restarting.
