Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Braven BRV-PRO / BPRO5CB — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (A007032)
This is a 3.7V 2600mAh Li-ion battery for the Braven BRV-PRO and BPRO5CB portable Bluetooth speakers. It replaces OEM part A007032 and fits the same battery bay without modification. Capacity figure is taken directly from product data at 9.62Wh.
- BRV-PRO and BPRO5CB compatibility: Both models share the same 3.7V single-cell architecture, identical connector pinout, and the same BMS handshake protocol — one battery covers both.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the BRV-PRO's charge circuit and confirmed the BMS accepted the pack without fault flags. Discharge curves held stable across both Bluetooth audio and speakerphone draw profiles.
- Fuel gauge reset after swap: After fitting this battery, run the speaker down until it powers off on its own before recharging to 100%. The BRV-PRO's fuel gauge calibrates to the cell's actual capacity on first full cycle — skipping this step causes the indicator to show empty while charge remains.
Why the BRV-PRO battery reads full but audio cuts after extended play
The BRV-PRO uses a simple coulomb-counting fuel gauge that drifts when the cell is never fully discharged. Constant top-off charging — plugging in before the pack drops below 50% — causes the gauge to lose its reference point over time. The speaker's protection circuit then triggers a low-voltage cutoff at what looks like a mid-range charge reading. A single full discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full charge resets the reference and restores accurate reporting.
Audio distorting before the battery indicator reaches empty
At high volume, the BRV-PRO's amplifier draws sharp current spikes that cause the cell voltage to sag below the amplifier's clean operating threshold before the fuel gauge registers low. The result is audible clipping or distortion while the indicator still shows charge remaining. This is a voltage-sag issue, not a capacity issue — a fresh cell with good internal resistance reduces sag and pushes the distortion point lower. If the symptom appears consistently above 70% volume, check resting cell voltage under no load; it should read above 3.6V after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions
My BRV-PRO Bluetooth keeps dropping at high volume even with a new battery — what's causing that?
High-volume audio puts simultaneous current demand on both the amplifier and the Bluetooth radio, and if the cell's internal resistance is elevated, combined draw causes a voltage dip that destabilises the radio. We saw this on the bench when pushing the speaker above 80% volume with a degraded cell — the Bluetooth stack dropped and reconnected within seconds. Swap to a fresh cell and confirm resting voltage reads above 3.6V before testing again.
The BRV-PRO won't respond to the USB charger after it went completely flat — is the battery dead?
When a Li-ion cell discharges below roughly 2.5V, the BMS blocks incoming charge as a protection measure and the charger sees no load. The cell isn't necessarily dead — it needs a slow trickle to bring it back above the BMS acceptance threshold. Leave the USB cable connected for 20–30 minutes without pressing any buttons; the circuit will attempt a recovery charge cycle. If the LED still shows no activity after that, measure cell voltage directly — anything below 2.0V indicates the cell has deep-discharged past recovery.
The speaker feels noticeably warm through the housing during long outdoor sessions — is that a battery problem?
Heat build-up during extended play is a combined effect: the amplifier generates heat under sustained output, and the discharging Li-ion cell adds its own thermal load inside the same sealed housing. Neither source alone is typically a problem, but together they raise the internal temperature faster than the housing can dissipate it. Keep the speaker out of direct sun during use and avoid resting it fabric-side down, which blocks the only passive ventilation path. If the housing becomes hot to the touch rather than warm, let it cool before continuing playback.
