Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Coolpad V1 Series — 3.8V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CPLD-339)
This is a 3.8V, 2900mAh Li-ion replacement battery for the Coolpad V1 smartphone series. It fits the V1, V1-C, V1-C Bodun TD-LTE, and 大观 5. The OEM part number is CPLD-339 — match that before ordering.
- V1 and V1-C platform compatibility: These models share the same battery bay geometry, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol. The CPLD-339 part number covers all four variants — voltage rail and cell dimensions are identical across the lineup.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on V1 hardware. The BMS communicated correctly with the fuel gauge IC, accepted charge current without tripping protection, and reported state-of-charge without erratic jumps after one full calibration cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After installation, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle before resuming normal use. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated cell, preventing inaccurate percentage readings from the start.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Coolpad V1 after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. The new cell hits its voltage cliff — where voltage drops sharply under modem or screen load — at a different state-of-charge than the old one. The OS reads 25% but the cell voltage has already collapsed below the cutoff threshold. One full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging resets the coulomb counter and resolves this.
USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
On first connection after a cell swap, the charge IC may default to slow charge mode because the BMS on the new cell has not yet completed its handshake with the phone's charge controller. This is a one-cycle behaviour, not a fault. Disconnect the cable, power the phone fully on, then reconnect. If fast charge still does not activate after the first full cycle, verify the cable supports the required charging protocol for the V1.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Coolpad V1 shuts off at around 25% battery — is the new cell defective?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC in the V1 is still using the discharge curve it learned from the old battery, so it misreads the voltage cliff on the new cell. Under heavy load — modem activity, screen-on — the new cell's voltage drops faster than the IC expects, triggering a low-voltage shutdown. Run one full discharge down to automatic power-off, then charge to 100% without interruption, and the coulomb counter will recalibrate.
The phone feels warm near the battery compartment during the first few charges after I swapped the CPLD-339 — is that normal?
A new high-impedance cell generates slightly more heat during the first few charge cycles as the charge IC adjusts current delivery. That warmth during charging is expected and typically fades after two or three full cycles once the cell's internal resistance settles. If the phone stays warm after those initial cycles or gets hot to the touch, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection increases contact resistance and adds heat. Stop charging if temperature becomes uncomfortable to hold.
My Coolpad V1 won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what's happened?
The BMS has almost certainly entered lockout mode. Li-ion cells that self-discharge below roughly 2.5V per cell trigger a protection circuit that blocks all output to prevent damage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without attempting to power it on. The charge IC trickle-charges the cell back above the BMS unlock threshold; once voltage recovers sufficiently, the BMS releases and normal charging resumes. If the charge indicator never appears after 45 minutes on a wall charger, the cell has likely dropped below recoverable voltage.
