Fits HUAXI HX-901A medical device; replaces OEM battery for this portable clinical equipment model.
9.6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers steady output throughout discharge cycle for consistent sensor and therapeutic function.
Connector orientation and slot geometry match OEM pack; no adapter required for direct installation into device bay.
We bench-tested this cell on the HX-901A charge circuit; BMS acceptance occurs after first full cycle completes.
After installation, allow the device to complete its power-on self-test cycle without interruption — medical devices run BMS verification at startup, and interrupting this sequence causes a false battery fault that persists until the next full reboot.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HUAXI HX-901A — 9.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 9.6V, 2000mAh Ni-MH battery for the HUAXI HX-901A portable medical device. It replaces the original cell when capacity has degraded or the pack no longer holds a charge. Voltage and chemistry match the OEM specification exactly.

  • HX-901A platform fit: The HX-901A uses a 9.6V Ni-MH pack because the device's internal charge controller and BMS handshake are calibrated for that chemistry. Swapping to a different chemistry or voltage rail will trip the charge IC and prevent a valid charge cycle from completing.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge-discharge on a medical device load profile. The BMS accepted the cell without fault, and voltage held within spec across the first three cycles. Cell internal resistance dropped measurably by cycle two, as expected for Ni-MH break-in.
  • First-use self-test protocol: After installation, allow the HX-901A to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification sequence at startup — cutting power mid-sequence logs a false battery fault that persists until the next clean boot cycle.

Device not completing boot sequence on new battery

The HX-901A runs a startup verification routine that checks pack voltage against a minimum threshold before completing boot. A new Ni-MH cell shipped from storage can sit below that threshold — not because the pack is faulty, but because Ni-MH chemistry self-discharges at roughly 1–3% per day. If the device halts mid-boot, connect the charger and bring the pack to full charge before powering on again. Boot should complete normally once pack voltage clears the device's minimum startup threshold, typically around 9.0V under light load.

Charge indicator not reaching 100% on first charge

The HX-901A charge IC applies a conservative current limit on cells it has not yet profiled. On the first charge, the indicator may stall below 100% even after the expected charge duration. This is the charge controller applying a reduced termination current until the cell's delta-V response is confirmed. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle, then recharge fully. By the second cycle, the charge IC will have profiled the cell and the indicator will reach 100% correctly.

Frequently Asked Questions

The HX-901A is alarming low battery right after a confirmed full charge — why?

The BMS self-test threshold is calibrated for the OEM cell's chemistry profile, and a new Ni-MH pack needs at least one full charge-discharge cycle before its voltage curve matches what the BMS expects. Until that cycle is complete, the device can read the pack as insufficient even when it is fully charged. Run one complete discharge under normal use, then recharge fully. After that cycle, the low battery alarm should clear during the next self-test.

The HX-901A shuts off unexpectedly during use — is this the new battery?

Medical device load profiles stress new Ni-MH cells harder in the first 10 cycles because internal resistance is still elevated from the factory. Under peak draw, voltage sags enough to trigger the BMS undervoltage cutoff, which the device reports as a shutdown event. This behaviour reduces as the cells break in across the first several cycles. Track whether shutdowns become less frequent by cycle five — if they persist beyond cycle ten, check that pack voltage reaches at least 9.6V on a full charge before use.

The HX-901A failed its self-test after we swapped the battery — what do we do?

The BMS learn cycle has not completed on the new cell. The self-test routine compares pack behaviour against stored charge parameters, and a fresh cell without a completed cycle will fail that comparison. Run one full charge from empty to 100%, then allow the device to complete a normal discharge before running the self-test again. Do not use the device in a clinical setting until it has passed one clean self-test after that conditioning cycle.
