Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Jablotron JA-152KRY — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (AHB105565P)
This 3.7V 5000mAh (18.5Wh) Li-Polymer cell replaces the OEM AHB105565P battery in the Jablotron JA-152KRY wireless alarm keypad. The JA-152KRY uses this cell to maintain wireless communication with the control panel and power the backlit display during normal and standby operation. Install this when the original cell no longer holds charge or the panel reports a persistent low-battery fault.
- JA-152KRY keypad compatibility: The JA-152KRY draws from a single Li-Polymer cell at 3.7V nominal. The BMS on this keypad monitors cell voltage directly — the replacement must match the AHB105565P footprint (68.00 × 54.80 × 9.00mm) and voltage rail exactly, or the panel will reject the cell and continue flagging a fault.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and standby cycles on the JA-152KRY platform. The panel BMS accepted the cell without error, held float charge correctly, and cleared the low-battery fault after the conditioning period.
- Post-installation float charge window: Do not run a zone or siren test immediately after fitting this cell. The JA-152KRY panel requires 24–48 hours on float charge before its BMS reports accurate battery status. Running a diagnostic test before that window closes will trigger a false low-battery alert.
Alarm panel showing low battery hours after installing new cell
The JA-152KRY does not report battery status from a static voltage reading at power-on. It samples cell voltage over time while on float charge and only clears the low-battery flag once the BMS is satisfied the cell is holding above its threshold consistently. A freshly installed Li-Polymer cell at partial state of charge will sit below that threshold for the first several hours. Leave the panel connected to mains power for a full 24–48 hours — the fault will clear automatically once the cell reaches float.
Alarm losing programming during a mains power outage after battery swap
If the JA-152KRY loses its zone or user programming during a power cut after a battery replacement, the new cell had not yet been accepted by the panel BMS as a valid backup source. The panel needs at least 48 hours on mains before it trusts the cell enough to use it for memory backup during an outage. A cell swapped shortly before a power cut simply has not completed that conditioning cycle. Restore mains power, allow the full 48-hour window, then confirm backup acceptance by checking the panel's battery status indicator before the next outage.

Frequently Asked Questions
The JA-152KRY panel is still showing a low-battery fault 12 hours after I fitted the new AHB105565P cell — is the replacement faulty?
Almost certainly not. The JA-152KRY BMS samples cell voltage over an extended float period and will not clear the low-battery flag until the cell holds consistently above its internal threshold — that process takes 24–48 hours from installation. At 12 hours you are still inside that window. Keep the panel on mains power and check the status indicator again at the 48-hour mark; the fault should clear on its own without any reset.
My siren did not sound during a test I ran straight after fitting the new battery — has something gone wrong with the keypad?
This is expected behaviour on the JA-152KRY immediately after a battery swap. The panel applies a 30–60 second charge stabilisation delay on a fresh cell before it will allow siren output, which means a test triggered too soon will appear to fail silently. Wait at least one minute after power-on before running a siren test, and allow the full float charge window before using the test as a benchmark for system health.
The panel showed a tamper fault right after I replaced the battery — I didn't touch any sensors, so where is this coming from?
A tamper fault on the JA-152KRY after a battery swap almost always means the keypad housing was not fully closed and latched after battery access. The tamper switch on this device sits inside the rear cover and requires positive engagement — pressing until you hear or feel the latch click. Open the rear cover, seat it squarely, press firmly until it clicks, and the tamper fault should clear within a few seconds of the panel re-polling its inputs.
