Fits Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen2-20TA000DGE and replaces OEM part numbers L19L3PD5, SB10X02608, 5B10X02603, L19C3PD5, 5B10X02600, 5B10X02606, L19M3PD5, SB10X02591, SB10X02597.
Delivers 11.34V at 3950mAh capacity, matching the original pack's 44.79Wh energy store for this 14-inch notebook.
Connector sits flush in the battery slot with standard locking tab; verify seating before pressing the release lever fully home.
We bench tested this cell on the E14 Gen2 motherboard and confirmed the BMS handshake completes on cold insertion with no fault codes.
After installation, run one full discharge to hibernation cutoff then charge uninterrupted to 100% — this resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears after cell swaps.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 / E15 Gen 2 — 11.34V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (L19L3PD5)

This 11.34V lithium-polymer battery replaces the original cell in the Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 and ThinkPad E15 Gen 2 series, including the 20TA000DGE and 20T9S00K00 variants. Capacity is 3950mAh (44.79Wh), matching the OEM specification. It also cross-references SB10X02608, L19C3PD5, L19M3PD5, and several 5B10X part numbers.

  • E14 Gen 2 and E15 Gen 2 fitment: Both the 14-inch and 15-inch second-generation ThinkPad E series share the same 11.34V three-cell battery architecture, connector pinout, and BMS communication protocol — which is why one cell covers both chassis sizes.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge-discharge cycles on a ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 unit. The BMS handshake completed without error, charge termination triggered correctly at full voltage, and the protection circuit responded normally to discharge floor events.
  • BIOS learn cycle after installation: After fitting this cell, run one full discharge down to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This forces the BIOS battery learn cycle to reset against the new cell and clears the inaccurate health warning that appears in Lenovo Vantage or Windows battery report after any cell swap.

Laptop shuts down at 20–30% remaining after battery swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds calibration data from the old, degraded cell. Under combined CPU and display load, the new cell's actual voltage curve doesn't match the IC's stored model, so the system hits a predicted cutoff voltage before the cell is genuinely depleted. The fix is a full calibration cycle: drain to hibernate-cutoff under normal use, then charge to 100% without interruption. After two or three of these cycles, the fuel gauge re-maps to the new cell and shutdown behaviour normalises above 15V discharge floor.

BIOS reports battery Wh rating as incorrect after replacement

The Wh figure shown in BIOS or Lenovo Vantage is pulled from the cell's EEPROM, not measured live. When a replacement cell's EEPROM-stored value differs slightly from the original OEM figure, the system flags a mismatch or displays a lower-than-expected Wh number. This is a metadata difference between EEPROM-rated capacity and the actual chemistry, not a fault with the cell itself. Confirm the physical voltage reads 11.34V at full charge — if it does, the cell is functioning correctly regardless of what the Wh field displays.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why does Windows show the new battery as 0% or "unknown" immediately after I installed it?

The fuel gauge IC lost its reference data when the old cell was disconnected — it has no baseline for the new cell yet. Connect AC power and let it charge to 100% without interruption, then run one full discharge to hibernate. After that first complete cycle, Windows battery reporting re-initialises and the percentage reads correctly.

Lenovo Vantage is showing "poor battery health" on a brand-new cell — is the replacement faulty?

It's not a fault. Vantage reads health status from EEPROM data written during the BIOS battery learn cycle, and that data still reflects the old, worn cell until you complete a calibration. Run a full discharge to hibernate-cutoff followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%. Vantage health status updates after that cycle completes and the BIOS rewrites the stored values.

Charging stops at 80% and won't go higher — did I get a defective battery?

This is almost always a BIOS-controlled charge limit, not a cell fault. Lenovo's firmware includes a "Conservation Mode" in Vantage that caps charging at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress — it's enabled by default on some units. Open Lenovo Vantage, navigate to Power → Battery Settings, and switch Conservation Mode off. Charging will then proceed to 100%.
