Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

NET10 One Touch Pixi Glitz / A463 — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This is a 3.7V, 1450mAh Li-ion cell replacing the original battery in the Alcatel One Touch Pixi Glitz, One Touch Pixi Glitz 4G, and A463/A463BG variants sold under the NET10 network. It fits the same physical bay and connector as the factory cell. Dimensions are 64.25 × 49.88 × 4.20mm — measure your existing cell before ordering if you're unsure.
- A463 and Pixi Glitz 4G compatibility: Both the standard A463 and the 4G variant share the same battery bay geometry and 3.7V supply rail. The connector pinout and BMS handshake protocol are identical across the series, so one cell covers the full lineup without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the A463 platform. The BMS negotiated charge termination correctly at 4.2V and low-voltage cutoff triggered cleanly without triggering a hard lockout loop on the phone's charge IC.
- Fuel gauge recalibration after installation: After fitting this cell, run one complete discharge down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% before normal use. The Pixi Glitz fuel gauge IC calibrates against the cell's discharge curve on that first full cycle — skipping it causes the percentage counter to read inaccurately for weeks.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Pixi Glitz after a cell swap
This happens because the fuel gauge IC still holds the discharge curve data from the degraded original cell. When the new cell hits a voltage region the old calibration data maps to "20% remaining," the modem or display draws a brief current spike that the gauge IC interprets as a low-voltage emergency. The phone shuts down even though actual cell charge is higher. One complete discharge-to-shutdown followed by a full uninterrupted charge resets the coulomb counter and maps it to the new cell's actual curve. After that cycle, shutdowns at false low percentages stop.
Phone shows incorrect or jumping battery percentage after replacement
The fuel gauge IC on the A463 platform uses a stored discharge curve to estimate remaining capacity — it does not directly measure charge state in real time. When a new cell goes in, that stored curve no longer matches the actual cell chemistry, so the percentage readout jumps or stalls at fixed points like 50% or 80%. Run one full discharge to automatic shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After that cycle, the coulomb counter resets its reference point to 3.7V nominal and the percentage display stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does my Pixi Glitz get warm near the battery during the first few charges with the new cell?
A new Li-ion cell starts with slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell. The charge IC pushes current into that higher resistance, and the energy difference dissipates as heat. This is normal for the first three to five charge cycles as the cell's internal resistance drops toward its rated value. If the phone feels hot to the touch rather than warm, or if warmth continues past the fifth cycle, check that the charge port is clean and that no third-party fast-charge adapter is being used.
The phone won't power on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — what happened?
Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage, and if the cell dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS entered a lockout state to prevent damage from deep discharge. Plug the phone into its original wall adapter and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button — the charge IC needs to trickle current into the cell to bring it above the BMS re-enable threshold before a normal boot is possible. If the screen stays dark after 30 minutes of charging, try a different cable, then confirm the wall adapter outputs at least 5V/1A.
Fast charging stopped working on my Pixi Glitz after I put in this replacement battery — is something wrong?
On the first charge cycle with a new cell, the charge IC on the A463 platform sometimes defaults to standard 5V charging rather than accepting a higher-current profile. This happens because the BMS on the new cell has not yet established a charge history, and the phone's charge negotiation logic applies a conservative current limit until it confirms the cell is stable. Complete one full standard charge to 100%, then disconnect and reconnect the charger — the fast-charge handshake typically resumes from the second cycle onward.
