Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Orange SPV M700 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (35H00077-00M)
This is a 3.7V, 2400mAh lithium-polymer battery for the Orange SPV M700 smartphone. It replaces OEM part numbers 35H00077-00M, TRIN160, and 35H00077-02M. If the original cell has degraded and the phone no longer holds charge through a normal day, this is the direct swap.
- SPV M700 fitment: The M700 uses a single-cell Li-Polymer pack at 3.7V nominal. The connector pinout and BMS handshake on this replacement match the original HTC-manufactured hardware underneath the Orange branding. No adapter or modification required.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the SPV M700 platform. The BMS accepted the charge IC handshake on first connection, and the protection circuit triggered correctly at both the low-voltage cutoff and the thermal threshold.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, run one full discharge-charge cycle with fast charging disabled. The Windows Mobile fuel gauge IC was calibrated to the original cell's discharge curve. One complete cycle against the new cell gives the IC enough data to report percentage accurately.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the SPV M700
This is a voltage cliff failure. Aged Li-Polymer cells lose internal capacity unevenly — the cell voltage drops sharply under the load of the radio modem or screen backlight before the fuel gauge IC registers low battery. The phone shuts down not because the gauge reads zero, but because the cell can no longer hold voltage above the CPU's minimum rail under peak current draw. Replacing the cell removes the cliff. After fitting this battery, one full discharge-charge cycle will reset the gauge baseline so the reported percentage tracks actual cell voltage correctly.
Phone not powering on after the battery sat in storage
Li-Polymer cells self-discharge at roughly 2–5% per month. A cell left in storage for a year or more can drop below 2.5V per cell — the point at which the BMS locks out charging to prevent damage. The SPV M700 will show no response on the power button and no charge indicator on the screen. Connect the phone to a known-good charger and leave it for 30–60 minutes without pressing anything. Most BMS circuits include a trickle pre-charge mode that recovers the cell slowly up to 3.0V before switching to normal charge current. If the screen remains dark after 90 minutes, test the charger output — it must be at least 5V DC at the micro-USB port.

Frequently Asked Questions
The SPV M700 shows 25% battery and then cuts off without warning — is this the new cell or the phone?
This is the voltage cliff problem on an aged or new-to-device cell. Under peak load — radio modem transmitting, screen at full brightness — the cell voltage sags below what the CPU needs before the fuel gauge IC reads "low." The fix is one full discharge-charge cycle with the screen on and radio active, so the fuel gauge IC maps the new cell's actual discharge curve. After that cycle, the percentage readout and the cutoff point will align.
The battery percentage on the SPV M700 jumps around after fitting this replacement — it read 80%, then 95%, then dropped to 60%.
The fuel gauge IC in the M700 is still using the discharge curve it learned from the original cell. A new cell with different internal impedance produces voltage readings the IC hasn't seen before, so the percentage estimate swings erratically. Run one complete discharge from 100% down to the automatic shutdown point, then charge uninterrupted to full. That single cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to recalibrate against the new cell and the percentage will stabilise.
The SPV M700 feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — is that normal?
Some warmth is expected on the first few charge cycles. A new high-impedance Li-Polymer cell presents more resistance to the charge IC than a worn cell, so the IC works slightly harder and dissipates more heat as it brings the cell up to full voltage. The phone should not be hot — warm to the touch is fine, hot enough to be uncomfortable is not. Charge in open air away from soft surfaces for the first two cycles, and confirm the temperature drops toward ambient once the cell reaches 4.2V and the charge IC steps down to trickle mode.
