Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Panasonic AG-BP15P / AG-BP25 Series — 7.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (CGR-B/403)
This 7.4V, 4000mAh (29.6Wh) Li-ion cell replaces the CGR-B/403, VW-VBD2, VW-VBD3, VW-VBD5, and VW-VBDR1 OEM packs. It fits the AG-BP15P, AG-BP25, AG-EZ1, AG-EZ1U, and over 30 additional Panasonic broadcast and documentary camcorders. Voltage and connector pinout match the OEM pack directly.
- AG-BP and AG-EZ platform fit: These camcorder lines share a common battery dock format and 7.4V BMS handshake. The cell voltage rail, connector orientation, and communication pins are identical across the AG-BP15P, AG-BP25, and AG-EZ variants — which is why one part number covers the full range.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell on an AG-BP15P body and monitored BMS charge acceptance, cutoff behaviour at low voltage, and thermal response under sustained 1080p recording load. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes across full charge and discharge cycles.
- First-use initialisation on Panasonic camcorders: Insert the battery and run a complete charge cycle through the OEM charger or camera body before shooting. Some Panasonic AG-series bodies require one supervised charge cycle to calibrate the battery-remaining display to the new cell's discharge curve.
Battery percentage reading frozen or stuck on AG-BP series bodies
The AG-BP15P and AG-BP25 use a voltage-threshold system to estimate remaining charge. A new cell's discharge curve sits slightly differently than a worn OEM pack, so the indicator can lock at one percentage for extended periods before dropping. This is a calibration issue, not a cell defect. Run two full charge-to-discharge cycles through the camera body and the gauge will track the new cell's curve accurately.
Camera body warm and battery draining faster than expected under continuous recording
Sustained video recording on Panasonic AG-series camcorders draws simultaneously from the sensor, image processor, optical image stabilisation, and viewfinder — combined current draw is significantly higher than single-shot stills use. Heat from the body itself reflects that combined load, not a fault in the cell. If the battery cuts out before expected, check that the body firmware is current, as some AG firmware versions had aggressive low-voltage cutoff thresholds that were revised. Confirm cutoff voltage in diagnostics mode is not set above 6.8V.

Frequently Asked Questions
My AG-BP15P shows a "no battery" or "incompatible battery" warning with this replacement installed — what's causing it?
The AG-BP15P BMS runs an authentication check on first contact with a new cell. A failed or incomplete handshake throws that warning even when the cell is fully charged and correctly seated. Remove the battery, reseat it firmly, then place it in the OEM charger for one full charge cycle before reinserting it into the body. That single OEM charge cycle is usually enough for the camera to accept the new cell and clear the warning.
The battery percentage on my camcorder jumps around — it reads 60%, then drops to 20% within a few minutes of recording.
This happens when the camera's voltage-threshold map is calibrated to an older, worn cell's discharge curve. A new 4000mAh cell holds voltage higher for longer, then drops more sharply near depletion — the camera interprets that curve differently and miscalculates the remaining percentage. Run two complete charge and discharge cycles through the camera body without interrupting them. After that, the gauge resets its reference points and tracks the new cell accurately.
Why isn't my on-camera flash recycling quickly between shots after fitting this battery?
Flash capacitor recharge pulls a short but heavy current spike after each discharge. If the battery's state of charge is below roughly 7.0V under load, the capacitor takes noticeably longer to reach full charge voltage — you'll see the flash-ready indicator delay. This is a voltage-sag issue at low charge states, not a cell capacity problem. Keep the battery above 30% charge during flash-heavy shooting, and the recycle time returns to normal.
