Fits Philip Morris iQos Charger and iQos 2.4 Plus Charger Box, replaces OEM battery BAT.000046.RD and 1UR18650Z-C007A.
3.7V, 2600mAh Li-ion cell delivers the dock power needed to charge heating sticks between sessions.
18650 cylindrical form factor seats into the charger housing with spring contacts; no locking tab present.
Bench testing showed clean BMS voltage ramp on first insertion; full charge cycle completed without protection cutoff.
On first use after installation, allow the charger thirty minutes to reach stable voltage before inserting heating sticks, as the new BMS handshake can trigger thermal regulation in the dock circuit.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philip Morris iQos 2.4 Plus Charger Box — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BAT.000046.RD)

This 3.7V, 2600mAh Li-ion cell replaces the internal battery in the Philip Morris iQos Charger and iQos 2.4 Plus Charger Box. The charger box stores charge to power your heating sticks between uses — when this cell degrades, the dock stops delivering consistent power to the holder. Part numbers BAT.000046.RD and 1UR18650Z-C007A both reference this cell.

  • iQos Charger and 2.4 Plus Charger Box fit: Both the original iQos Charger and the 2.4 Plus Charger Box use the same 18650-format Li-ion cell on a 3.7V rail with the same connector and BMS handshake, so one cell covers both units.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge passes on the iQos 2.4 Plus Charger Box. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags and held the output rail steady through repeated holder-charge cycles.
  • Post-session charging on the iQos dock: Do not place the charger box on its USB cable immediately after a long back-to-back session. Allow 15 minutes for the internal cell to cool below 40°C — charging into a warm Li-ion cell accelerates electrolyte breakdown and shortens cell life faster than normal cycle wear.

Why the iQos Charger Box stops delivering a full charge to the holder

The charger box acts as a portable power bank for the iQos holder. As the internal cell ages, its usable capacity drops — the box may still show a full indicator light but delivers less energy per transfer cycle. The holder then exits a heat cycle early because it received less charge than a full stick requires. Replacing the internal cell at this point restores the full transfer capacity the holder depends on.

Charger box LED flashing but holder not charging

A flashing LED with no charge transfer to the holder usually means the internal cell voltage has dropped below the BMS minimum output threshold — typically under 3.0V — and the BMS has blocked discharge to protect the cell. At this point, plugging the box into USB may not recover it if the cell has sat in deep discharge too long. Install a fresh cell, then connect the box to USB to let the new cell initialise. Confirm the holder begins its charge sequence within 30 seconds of being seated.

Frequently Asked Questions

My iQos holder only heats one or two sticks before the charger box dies — what's wrong?

This points to capacity fade in the internal cell, not a fault with the holder itself. An aged Li-ion cell holds a fraction of its original 2600mAh, so the box runs out of stored energy after fewer transfer cycles than it used to manage. The fix is replacing the internal cell — the box itself is fine. After fitting the new cell, run two full USB charge cycles before measuring how many holder charges you get per box charge.

The auto-draw on my iQos holder isn't activating even after sitting in the charger box — why?

The holder's auto-draw sensor needs a minimum voltage to detect a draw and trigger the heater. If the charger box cell is degraded, the holder receives less charge per cycle and may sit below that activation threshold. This is different from a dead box — the holder appears to have charge but the voltage is too low for the sensor circuit. Charge the box via USB for a full cycle, then re-seat the holder for at least 4 minutes before testing the draw.

My iQos charger box feels warm even when I'm not using it — is that a problem?

A box that warms during storage suggests the internal cell may have an elevated self-discharge rate or a minor BMS imbalance causing parasitic drain. Normal Li-ion cells at rest generate almost no heat. If the warmth is noticeable to the touch, stop using the box and inspect the cell — continued use of a thermally unstable cell in a sealed housing carries risk. Replace the internal cell and confirm the replacement stays at ambient temperature after a full charge cycle before returning it to regular use.
