Fits Philips Respirateur V60, V60S, and Respironics V60, V60S models; replaces OEM part 88881344 and equivalent variants 107674, 1076374, M48385-B0, 1058272.
14.4V 11000mAh lithium-ion pack delivers 158.4Wh to sustain full ventilator operation through extended patient care shifts without mid-cycle power loss.
Battery connector seats into the V60 dock with firm contact; locking tab engages fully and releases only under deliberate pressure to prevent accidental disconnection during transport.
We bench-tested this cell on Philips V60 charge dock with load simulation; BMS accepted the handshake on first cycle and held stable discharge curve through 80% depth without voltage sag.
After installation, allow the device to complete its full power-on self-test cycle without interruption — medical ventilators run BMS verification at startup, and stopping this sequence triggers a false battery fault that requires a complete device reboot to clear.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Philips Respirateur V60 / V60S — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (88881344)

This is a 14.4V, 11000mAh (158.4Wh) Li-ion battery for the Philips Respirateur V60 and V60S non-invasive ventilators. It also fits the Respironics V60 and V60S variants using the same battery bay and connector. Confirmed compatibility against OEM part numbers 88881344, 107674, 1076374, M48385-B0, 1058272, 989805626941, and 1056921.

  • V60 and V60S platform fit: Both the Respirateur and Respironics-branded V60 variants share the same 14.4V battery rail, physical connector, and BMS handshake protocol. One battery services the full platform without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this battery on a V60 bench unit and monitored BMS communication throughout. The charge IC accepted the cell without fault codes, and the BMS reported state-of-charge accurately across the full discharge curve.
  • Power-on self-test cycle: After installing this battery, let the V60 complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs a BMS verification sequence at startup — cutting power during this window causes a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.

Why the V60 flags a battery fault after a successful charge

The V60 BMS sets internal acceptance thresholds calibrated to OEM cell chemistry and charge history. A new replacement cell has no stored cycle data, so the BMS treats it as an unknown source on first boot. This triggers a conditional fault flag even when the cell is fully charged. Running one complete charge-discharge cycle writes the baseline data the BMS needs to clear the flag and report status normally.

Charge indicator stalls below 100% on the first charge

On first charge, the V60 charge IC applies a conservative current limit to cells with no prior cycle history — this is expected behaviour, not a fault. The indicator stalls because the IC is holding a reduced topping rate until cell internal resistance settles. Disconnect, allow the battery to rest for 10 minutes, then reconnect and resume charging. After one full cycle, the charge IC recalibrates and the indicator reaches 100% normally.

Frequently Asked Questions

The V60 is alarming low battery immediately after a confirmed full charge — why?

The V60 BMS uses OEM chemistry thresholds to validate a cell's charge state at startup. A new replacement cell has no cycle history, so the BMS may reject its state-of-charge reading and trigger a low battery alarm even at full charge. Run one complete charge-discharge cycle to allow the BMS to log baseline cell data. After that cycle, the alarm clears and the device reads battery status accurately.

The V60 won't power on after the battery sat unused in storage — what do I do?

Li-ion cells self-discharge over time, and if this battery dropped below the V60's BMS recovery threshold during storage, the BMS will block power-on as a protection measure. Connect the battery to a known-good charger and leave it for a full charge cycle without interrupting. Once the cell voltage recovers above approximately 12V, the BMS re-enables the power path and the device boots normally.

The V60 shuts off unexpectedly during patient use in the first week after battery swap — is this a fault?

New Li-ion cells deliver less stable output in the first 5–10 cycles because internal resistance has not yet settled. The V60's load profile during active ventilation draws hard on the cell, and the BMS may interpret a transient voltage sag as a critical low-cell event and shut down. This behaviour typically resolves after the cell completes its initial conditioning cycles. Complete at least three full charge-discharge cycles before relying on this battery in unsupervised clinical use.
