Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ResMed Elisee 250 / 350 — 14.4V Li-ion Replacement Battery (BAT013514)
This is a 14.4V, 7800mAh lithium-ion replacement for the OEM BAT013514 battery used in the ResMed Elisee 250 and Elisee 350 portable ventilators. Both devices draw from the same 14.4V battery platform and use the same connector and BMS communication protocol. Capacity is 7800mAh (112.32Wh) as specified.
- Elisee 250 and 350 compatibility: Both models share the same 14.4V battery rail, physical form factor, and BMS handshake requirements. A single battery revision covers both units — no hardware modification needed between platforms.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and load cycles on the Elisee platform. The BMS completed handshake, the charge IC accepted the cell without faulting, and the unit held steady under the ventilator's variable pressure delivery load.
- Post-swap self-test protocol: After installing this battery, allow the Elisee to complete its full power-on self-test without interruption. The device runs BMS verification at startup — cutting power during this sequence triggers a false battery fault that persists until the next clean reboot.
Why the Elisee 250 may alarm low battery on a freshly charged replacement
The Elisee's BMS compares cell voltage and internal resistance against thresholds calibrated for OEM chemistry. A new replacement cell hasn't completed a learn cycle yet, so its resistance profile can read outside the expected window on first use. The device interprets this as a degraded or low battery and triggers the alarm even at full charge. Running one complete charge-to-discharge cycle allows the BMS to establish a baseline and the alarm clears on subsequent use.
Elisee not powering on after the battery sat in storage
Lithium-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If this battery shipped or sat unused for an extended period, its voltage may have dropped below the Elisee's BMS recovery threshold — typically around 10.0–10.5V for a 14.4V pack. The BMS will refuse to engage the output circuit at this voltage to protect the cells. Connect the battery to its charger first and leave it for a minimum of two hours before attempting to power on the ventilator; recovery charging will bring it back above the engagement threshold.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Elisee 250 is showing a low battery alarm but the replacement cell was fully charged before I installed it — what's happening?
This is a BMS learn-cycle issue, not a faulty battery. The Elisee's BMS checks internal resistance at startup, and a new cell's resistance profile doesn't match the OEM baseline until it has completed at least one full charge-discharge cycle. The alarm is a false fault triggered by that mismatch. Run one complete cycle — charge fully, allow the ventilator to draw the pack down under normal operation, then recharge — and the alarm should not return.
The Elisee 350 won't power on at all after the new battery arrived — the screen stays dark and there's no startup chime.
Batteries can drop below the BMS engagement threshold during shipping and storage. The Elisee's protection circuit locks the output when pack voltage falls below approximately 10.0–10.5V, so the device receives nothing and shows no signs of life. Place the battery on charge for at least two hours before inserting it — recovery charging will bring the voltage above the engagement threshold and the unit should boot normally after that.
The Elisee shut off mid-use within the first week of running the new battery — no low battery warning beforehand.
New lithium-ion cells haven't settled their electrochemistry yet, and the Elisee's variable-pressure delivery creates load spikes that stress fresh cells harder than a stable load would. During the first 10 cycles, voltage can sag sharply under a high-draw burst, causing the BMS to trigger an undervoltage cutoff before the alarm logic has time to sound. This sag reduces as the cell completes its formation cycles — monitor closely for the first week of use and ensure the pack starts each session above 13.8V on the indicator before connecting to a patient.
