Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Polaroid PDC-3370 / DVC-00725F — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery
This 3.7V, 1050mAh Li-ion cell replaces the original battery in the Polaroid PDC-3370 and DVC-00725F digital cameras. Both models share the same battery bay dimensions (53.20 × 35.30 × 7.10mm) and voltage rail, so a single cell covers both. Capacity figure comes from product data — 3.89Wh total energy.
- PDC-3370 and DVC-00725F compatibility: These two Polaroid models draw from the same voltage rail and use an identical battery compartment footprint. The connector orientation and cell dimensions match exactly, so the same cell fits both without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge passes on compatible hardware. The BMS held the 3.7V nominal rail cleanly and hit the expected cutoff voltage without triggering premature low-battery warnings.
- First-install charge cycle on Polaroid body: Run one full charge cycle through the camera body or OEM charger before heavy shooting. Some Polaroid camera BMS systems need an internal charge pass to map the new cell's discharge curve and display battery-remaining accurately.
Flash recycling slowing down before the battery indicator shows low
The PDC-3370 flash capacitor pulls a concentrated burst of current each recharge cycle. As the cell ages or sits near the lower end of its discharge curve, that recharge current sags — the capacitor takes longer to reach full charge voltage. You'll notice longer gaps between shots before the flash is ready, even though the battery indicator still shows charge remaining. This happens because the indicator reads resting voltage, not available current. If recycling times are stretching noticeably, the cell is approaching its usable floor — charge it before the next shoot.
Battery percentage jumping erratically on the PDC-3370 display
A new Li-ion cell has a discharge curve that doesn't always match the voltage-threshold map the camera's firmware was calibrated against. The camera reads voltage at set intervals and converts that to a percentage — if the new cell's curve sits slightly differently, the displayed percentage can jump several steps up or down between shots. This isn't a fault with the cell. Run two to three full charge and discharge cycles through the camera body and the BMS will remap its thresholds closer to the new cell's actual curve, stabilising the readout.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Polaroid PDC-3370 shows a dead battery icon immediately after I insert the new cell — is the battery dead out of the box?
It isn't. A Li-ion cell ships at a partial state of charge, and the PDC-3370's battery indicator can misread a new cell's resting voltage as critically low before the BMS has mapped it. Place the cell in the camera or OEM charger and run one full charge to 4.2V. After that first charge cycle, the indicator should read correctly on insertion.
The shot count on my PDC-3370 drops noticeably in cold weather with the new battery — what's happening?
Li-ion cells lose available capacity as temperature drops because internal resistance rises, reducing how much current the cell can deliver at its rated voltage. The PDC-3370 draws additional current when the flash fires and the autofocus motor runs, so cold conditions amplify the effect quickly. Keep the camera body close to your person between shots to slow the temperature drop. Bringing the cell back to room temperature will recover most of the capacity the cold suppressed.
The PDC-3370 camera body feels warm during extended shooting — is that a battery issue or a camera issue?
Both contribute. The image sensor, processor, and flash capacitor recharge all generate heat during continuous shooting, and that combined draw also warms the cell itself. A warm cell is normal under sustained load — it becomes a concern if the camera shuts down unexpectedly or the body feels hot rather than warm. If shutdown occurs, let the body cool for five minutes and check that the cell contact points inside the battery bay are clean and making full contact before resuming.
