This is a 7.4V, 2900mAh Li-ion replacement for the RCA BB-65L battery. It fits the CC-8251, CC8251, Pro 598, Pro 698H, and related RCA camcorder models. Voltage and cell chemistry match the original spec exactly.

If the issue persists after cleaning, confirm the cell is reading at or above 7.2V resting voltage before recording.
