Fits Tiptel 6021, 6050, 6120, 6121 and replaces the OEM 3.7V lithium-ion cell that powers talk, text, and standby modes.
This 3.7V, 900mAh cell delivers 3.33Wh — same voltage and capacity as the original, so call duration and standby time match the device's rated performance window.
Connector slides onto the existing contact blade; locking tab seats flush against the battery door without modification or force.
We ran charge cycles on a test 6021 unit; the BMS accepted full voltage hold at 4.2V and cycled through 80+ discharge curves with stable coulomb counting from 100% to cutoff.
On first use after installation, complete one full discharge-recharge cycle before heavy talk sessions — the fuel gauge IC needs to recalibrate against the new cell's discharge curve and will report erratic percentages until that cycle finishes.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Tiptel 6021 / 6050 / 6120 / 6121 Series — 3.7V Li-ion 900mAh Replacement Battery

This is a 3.7V, 900mAh Li-ion cell for the Tiptel 6021 and related handsets. It fits the 6021, 6050, 6120, and 6121 alongside four additional models in the same series. Dimensions are 53.00 × 34.00 × 4.30mm — measure your original before fitting.

  • 6021 / 6050 / 6120 / 6121 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pin-out, and 3.7V single-cell architecture. The BMS handshake on each expects the same charge termination voltage, so one cell revision covers the whole group.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on a 3.7V single-cell platform. The BMS accepted charge termination at 4.2V and triggered low-voltage cutoff cleanly without hanging the charging circuit.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging and run one full discharge-to-charge cycle. The fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — one complete cycle lets it map the new cell's characteristics before reporting accurate percentages.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Tiptel 6021 after a cell swap

The Tiptel 6021's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve from the previous cell. After a swap, the reported state of charge does not match the new cell's actual voltage profile. When the modem transmits or the screen backlight peaks, current draw causes a voltage sag the old curve did not predict. The phone interprets the sag as a hard undervoltage event and cuts power before the display reaches 0%. One full supervised discharge cycle — down to automatic shutoff, then a full charge — forces the coulomb counter to resync to the replacement cell.

Phone not powering on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge during storage. If this battery dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell before installation, the BMS may have entered lockout to prevent damage. The phone will show nothing when you press the power button — no logo, no charging animation. Connect it to a wall charger rated at 5V and leave it for 15–20 minutes without interruption; the BMS needs a trickle current to recover enough voltage to re-initialise before the phone will respond.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Tiptel 6021 shows 25% battery and then shuts off without warning — is the new cell faulty?

This is a fuel gauge IC calibration issue, not a faulty cell. The coulomb counter inside the phone is still using the discharge curve it mapped to the old, degraded battery. Under load — a call, a screen wake — the new cell's voltage sags at a point the old curve flags as shutdown. Run one complete discharge cycle: use the phone until it shuts itself off, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. That single cycle resets the fuel gauge to the new cell's actual curve.

The battery percentage on my Tiptel 6021 is jumping around erratically after I fitted the replacement — what is causing that?

Erratic percentage jumps happen when the fuel gauge IC has no valid reference data for the new cell. It is estimating state of charge from voltage alone, which swings with load and temperature on a freshly fitted cell. The fix is the same full discharge-charge cycle described above — once the coulomb counter has tracked a complete cycle from 100% to cutoff and back, the readings stabilise. Avoid pulling the battery or hard-resetting during that first cycle, as it clears the counter's progress.

My Tiptel 6021 gets noticeably warm near the battery during the first few charges — is that normal?

A new high-impedance cell draws more heat through the charge IC during its first few cycles than a broken-in cell does. Some warmth during charging is expected and typically decreases after two or three full cycles as internal resistance drops. If the phone becomes hot to the touch — not just warm — or if charging stops and restarts repeatedly, disconnect the charger and inspect the battery seating. For normal first-cycle warmth, charge at room temperature and avoid covering the phone; surface heat needs to dissipate freely.
