Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Toshiba Satellite Click 2 Pro P30W-B-10E — 11.1V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (PA5191U-1BRS)
This is an 11.1V, 2200mAh (24.42Wh) Li-Polymer battery for the Toshiba Satellite Click 2 Pro P30W-B-10E 2-in-1 hybrid. It replaces OEM part PA5191U-1BRS. Fits the tablet-side battery bay — the unit that powers the screen and system when detached from the keyboard dock.
- P30W-B-10E tablet unit compatibility: The P30W-B series uses a flat Li-Polymer cell fitted to the display/tablet half of the chassis. This battery matches the connector pinout, cell dimensions (222.75 x 102.76 x 4.00mm), and BMS communication spec that the Satellite Click 2 Pro expects on that rail.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the P30W-B platform. The BMS handshake completed without fault codes, charge acceptance was normal across the full voltage range, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at low-voltage cutoff.
- Post-swap calibration on the P30W-B: After fitting, run the device down to hibernate-cutoff under normal load — screen on, Wi-Fi active — then charge uninterrupted to 100%. This resets the BIOS battery learn cycle and clears the inaccurate health warning the firmware throws after any cell swap.
BIOS reporting poor battery health immediately after fitting the PA5191U-1BRS
The Satellite Click 2 Pro stores charge history and health data in EEPROM on the original cell. When a new cell goes in, that data is blank or mismatched, so the BIOS flags it as degraded — even though the cell is new. This is a firmware read issue, not a battery fault. Run one full discharge-to-hibernate, then a complete uninterrupted charge to 100%. After one or two full cycles, the BIOS recalculates and the health status corrects itself.
Satellite Click 2 Pro shutting down at 20–30% shown on the fuel gauge
This happens because the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve. On a degraded original cell, 20% voltage mapped to near-empty. The new cell has more capacity at that same voltage point, so the gauge reads low and triggers a premature shutdown. The fix is calibration: let the device discharge fully to auto-shutdown, then charge to 100% without interruption. After two or three of these cycles, the fuel gauge IC recalibrates to the new cell and the percentage readout stabilises.

Frequently Asked Questions
The Toshiba Satellite Click 2 Pro shows the new battery as "unknown" or 0% in Windows — what's going on?
The Windows fuel gauge pulls capacity data from the battery's EEPROM, and on a fresh cell that data hasn't been written yet by the system. Boot into Windows, let the tablet discharge fully to hibernate-cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100%. After one complete cycle the fuel gauge IC writes the new cell's profile and the percentage display returns to normal.
Why does the P30W-B stop charging at around 80% and sit there indefinitely?
Some Toshiba BIOS versions ship with a charge-limit setting enabled — it caps charge at 80% to reduce long-term cell stress when the machine is docked frequently. This is a BIOS-controlled firmware threshold, not a fault with the replacement cell. Go into Toshiba System Settings (or the BIOS power menu), locate the battery charge mode option, and switch it from "Eco Charge" to "Maximum Charge" — charging will then proceed to 100%.
System info on the P30W-B shows the wrong Wh rating after swapping to the PA5191U-1BRS — should it say 24.42Wh?
Windows reads the Wh figure from the battery's EEPROM, which stores the rated design capacity rather than the measured actual capacity. If the figure shown doesn't match 24.42Wh immediately after fitting, run one full discharge-to-hibernate then a full charge — the system re-reads and logs the value from the new cell's firmware. If the number still looks wrong after two cycles, check Toshiba Battery Information utility, which reads the raw register directly and gives a more accurate figure than Windows Device Manager.
