Fits Vivo X6 Plus A smartphone; replaces OEM battery part number B-96.
3.85V Li-Polymer cell delivers 4000mAh capacity for full daily charge cycles on this handset.
Connector slides into the internal battery slot with no locking tab; orientation marked on housing.
We bench-tested this cell in X6 Plus A hardware; BMS accepted the new pack on first insertion without fault codes.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle so the fuel gauge IC recalibrates against the new cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Vivo X6 Plus A — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (B-96)

This is a 3.85V, 4000mAh Li-Polymer replacement battery for the Vivo X6 Plus A and VIVO X6 Plus A Dual SIM TD-LTE smartphones. It uses OEM part number B-96 and fits the internal battery bay directly. Capacity is rated at 15.4Wh.

  • X6 Plus A platform fit: Both listed models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — 85.05 x 68.10 x 4.40 mm cell with a matching NTC thermistor line the charge IC uses to regulate current.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through full charge and discharge on the X6 Plus A platform, confirmed the BMS accepted the cell without triggering a fault code, and verified the charge IC handed off to trickle mode correctly at top-of-charge.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration after installation: On first use, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-charge cycle at standard rate. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging begins on an uncalibrated cell.

Why the X6 Plus A reports wrong battery percentage after a cell swap

The fuel gauge IC on the X6 Plus A stores a discharge curve from the original cell. When you install a new cell, that stored curve no longer matches the new cell's actual voltage-to-capacity relationship. The result is percentage readings that jump, stall, or drop suddenly — especially below 30%. One full slow-charge cycle forces the coulomb counter to re-anchor its reference points against the new cell, correcting the readout.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the replacement cell

This happens when the cell voltage drops sharply under a high-draw load — modem transmission bursts or display brightness spikes — before the fuel gauge has recalibrated. The phone reads 25% but the cell voltage has already crossed the BMS cutoff threshold, typically around 3.0V under load. The BMS shuts the device down to protect the cell. Run one full uncalibrated cycle first, then verify the issue clears; if shutdown persists, confirm resting voltage reads above 3.7V after a full charge.

Frequently Asked Questions

The phone won't turn on at all after the replacement battery sat in a drawer for a few months — is it dead?

Probably not dead, but the BMS has locked the cell out after voltage dropped below 2.5V in storage. Connect the phone to a wall charger — not a PC port — and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The charge IC needs to push a small trickle current in to lift cell voltage above the BMS re-enable threshold before the phone will respond. If the charging indicator appears, the cell is recovering; if nothing shows after 45 minutes, check that the connector is fully seated.

Fast charging stopped working after I replaced the battery — the phone only charges at the slow rate now.

The Vivo proprietary fast-charge protocol requires a BMS handshake on the first charge cycle. Some replacement cells don't complete that handshake until after one full standard-rate cycle because the charge IC is running a cell-detection routine on an uncalibrated cell. Charge the phone once fully at the slow rate, then unplug and reconnect — the fast-charge icon should appear on the second session. If it still doesn't engage, check that the USB cable and adapter are the original Vivo fast-charge units, not a generic 5V/1A charger.

The phone feels warm near the back during charging after the swap — is that a problem with the new cell?

A new Li-Polymer cell has slightly higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates more heat during the first few cycles as it pushes current into higher resistance. That warmth is normal for the first two or three charge sessions and typically settles once the cell has been cycled. If the back stays hot throughout a full charge or the phone becomes uncomfortable to hold, disconnect and check that the replacement cell dimensions match — 85.05 x 68.10 x 4.40 mm — since an oversized cell pressed against the back cover can restrict airflow and trap heat.
