Fits Archos 59 Titanium smartphone; replaces OEM battery part AC59Ti.
3.7V, 2400mAh cell delivers standard smartphone runtime for daily use cycles.
Connector seats flush into the battery cavity with single locking tab.
We bench-tested the BMS on a 59 Titanium charge dock; fuel gauge accepted the new cell after first full cycle without voltage errors.
On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle to let the fuel gauge IC recalibrate against this cell's discharge curve.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Archos 59 Titanium — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (AC59Ti)

This is a 3.7V, 2400mAh Li-ion cell replacing part number AC59Ti in the Archos 59 Titanium and A59 Titanium smartphones. It matches the original voltage and capacity spec exactly. Physical dimensions are 86.95 × 71.05 × 4.30mm — measure your bay before ordering if your unit has been previously repaired.

  • 59 Titanium and A59 Titanium fitment: Both model names reference the same hardware platform. The connector pinout, BMS communication protocol, and cell footprint are identical across the 59 Ti lineup, so one cell covers both designations.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled the cell through charge and discharge under screen-on and modem-active loads. The BMS held cutoff correctly at low voltage and accepted charge current without thermal events through a full cycle.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: After fitting this cell, disable fast charging and run one complete discharge-to-charge cycle at standard current. This gives the fuel gauge IC time to map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes current into an uncalibrated measurement baseline.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Archos 59 Titanium after a cell swap

This is a voltage cliff issue, not a faulty cell. When the modem transmits or the screen brightness peaks, the new cell draws a short burst of high current. If the fuel gauge IC is still calibrated to the old degraded cell's curve, it reads 25% while the actual cell voltage has already sagged below the shutdown threshold — roughly 3.2V under load. The phone cuts out to protect the hardware, not because the replacement cell is defective. One full discharge-charge cycle at standard current corrects the mismatch between the stored curve and the new cell's actual voltage profile.

Phone won't power on after the replacement cell sat in storage

Li-ion cells self-discharge in storage. If the cell voltage dropped below approximately 2.5V per cell, the BMS enters a lockout state and blocks normal charge current to prevent damage. The phone shows nothing — no charging indicator, no boot. Connect the phone to a wall charger and leave it undisturbed for 20–30 minutes; most BMS controllers accept a trickle current at this voltage and will exit lockout once the cell reaches roughly 3.0V. If the indicator still does not appear after 45 minutes, try a different cable and confirm the charger delivers at least 5V/1A before assuming the cell is at fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

The Archos 59 Titanium is showing the wrong battery percentage after I swapped the cell — is something broken?

Nothing is broken. The fuel gauge IC on the 59 Titanium was calibrated to the discharge curve of the old cell and is now reading against a different cell's voltage profile. Run one full discharge — screen on, normal use — down to automatic shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% without fast charging enabled. That single cycle gives the coulomb counter enough data to remap to the new cell's actual curve, and the percentage readout stabilises.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in the phone after fitting the replacement battery — what's happening?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, some charge controllers on Android devices fall back to standard 5V/1A current because the BMS handshake with the USB-PD or proprietary fast-charge protocol is unverified against the new cell. This is intentional protective behaviour, not a fault. Complete one full standard-current charge cycle first. Fast charging typically re-enables automatically on the second charge once the controller has confirmed cell impedance is within the accepted range.

The phone feels warm near the battery compartment while charging the new cell — should I be concerned?

A new high-impedance cell produces more heat during the initial charge cycles than a well-worn cell does. The charge IC on the 59 Titanium is pushing current into a cell with slightly higher internal resistance than it was managing before, which generates more heat at the cell surface. This is normal for the first two or three cycles and reduces as the cell's resistance settles. If the back of the phone becomes uncomfortable to hold — not just warm — disconnect the charger and check that the USB port pins are clean and making full contact, then retry at standard current rather than fast charge.
