Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Axon 7 mini — 3.85V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Li3927T44P8h726044)
This 3.85V, 2700mAh Li-Polymer battery replaces the original cell in the ZTE Axon 7 mini, Axon 7 Mini Dual, and B2017G. It matches the OEM part number Li3927T44P8h726044 and fits the same 71.20 x 59.90 x 4.20mm bay. Capacity rating comes direct from product data — 10.4Wh nominal.
- Axon 7 mini / B2017G platform fit: The Axon 7 mini, Axon 7 Mini Dual, and B2017G share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all three variants without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through charge and discharge on the Axon 7 mini platform. The BMS accepted the cell without fault codes, and the charge IC negotiated current correctly through a full cycle.
- Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: Disable fast charging for the first complete discharge-charge cycle after installation. The fuel gauge IC is calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve — running one full cycle at standard current lets it map the new cell before high-current charging begins.
Sudden shutdown at 20–30% after a cell swap on the Axon 7 mini
The Axon 7 mini's fuel gauge IC stores a discharge curve learned from the original cell. A new cell has different internal impedance, so the IC's voltage prediction is off — it reads 25% remaining but the cell voltage is already dropping below what the modem and display can sustain under load. The phone cuts power before the OS can warn you. One full discharge to automatic shutoff, followed by an uninterrupted charge to 100%, forces the coulomb counter to relearn the curve against the new cell. After that cycle, the reported percentage tracks actual cell state within normal tolerance.
USB fast charge not activating on the first cycle after replacement
On the first charge after installation, some units show the slow-charge indicator even when plugged into a fast-charge adapter. This happens because the charge IC checks cell voltage and impedance before enabling high-current mode — a new cell at low state of charge may fall outside the IC's acceptance window on that first handshake. Let the phone charge fully on a standard 5V/1A source for the first cycle. On the second charge with a fast-charge adapter, the IC re-negotiates from a known full-charge baseline and typically enables high-current mode at the correct threshold voltage.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Axon 7 mini shuts off at around 25% after I put in the new battery — is the cell faulty?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The fuel gauge IC learned the discharge curve of your old, degraded cell and is now mispredicting voltage on the new one. Under modem or screen load, the real cell voltage drops faster than the IC expects, triggering a shutdown. Do one full drain to automatic cutoff, then charge uninterrupted to 100% — that resets the coulomb counter to the new cell's curve and the early shutdowns stop.
The phone feels warm near the battery area during the first few charges after the swap — should I be concerned?
A new Li-Polymer cell has higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC pushes voltage into more resistance during the first few cycles — that converts to heat. We saw the same thing on the bench; skin temperature near the battery bay was elevated for the first two to three full cycles, then dropped as impedance settled. Keep the phone on a flat surface during charging for those first cycles and avoid cases that trap heat. If warmth continues past cycle three, check that the battery connector is fully seated — a partial connection increases contact resistance and adds to heat at the joint.
The battery percentage jumps erratically — sitting at 60%, then jumping to 45%, then back to 55% within minutes.
Erratic percentage jumps are a fuel gauge IC recalibration symptom, not a sign of a bad cell. The IC is interpolating state of charge from a curve that no longer matches the new cell's impedance profile, so small load changes produce large — and wrong — percentage swings. Run two complete discharge-charge cycles without interruption: discharge until the phone shuts itself off, then charge to 100% in one go, both times with fast charging disabled. By the end of the second cycle the coulomb counter has enough data to track the new cell accurately and the jumping stops.
