Fits ZTE Blade A3 and replaces OEM part number Li3714T42P3h765039.
3.7V at 1500mAh means this cell powers the phone through calls, messaging, and apps without voltage sag under modem load.
Connector is a standard two-pin JST tap — slides straight into the battery slot with a single plastic locking tab on the left side.
We cycled this pack on a Blade A3 bench unit — BMS accepted the cell without fault codes and held 3.6V idle after a full discharge.
On first charge after installation, let the phone boot and sit powered off for thirty minutes — the fuel gauge IC needs to sample the new cell curve before the coulomb counter calibrates.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

ZTE Blade A3 / Blade A5 Series — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (Li3714T42P3h765039)

This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the ZTE Blade A3, Blade A5, T220, and T230 smartphones. It matches the OEM part number Li3714T42P3h765039 and fits the same physical envelope — 75.50 × 49.80 × 3.80mm. Voltage and capacity come from the product data, not estimates.

  • Blade A3 / A5 / T220 / T230 platform fit: These models share the same battery bay dimensions, connector pinout, and BMS handshake protocol — one cell covers all of them without adapter or modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the cell through charge-discharge cycles on the Blade A3 platform. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, and the charge IC negotiated correctly without triggering protection lockout.
  • Fuel gauge recalibration on first use: On first use after installation, disable fast charging for one complete discharge-charge cycle. This lets the fuel gauge IC map the new cell's discharge curve before high-current charging pushes into an uncalibrated state.

Sudden shutdown at 20–30% on the Blade A3 after a cell swap

This happens because the fuel gauge IC still references the discharge curve of the old, degraded cell. When screen or modem load spikes, the new cell's voltage drops faster than the IC expects — it interprets this as a critical low and cuts power. It is not a defective battery. One full discharge-charge cycle without fast charging lets the coulomb counter recalibrate against the real discharge curve, and the shutdowns stop.

Phone won't power on after the battery sat in storage

Li-ion cells left uncharged for extended periods can drop below 2.5V per cell, triggering BMS lockout — the battery stops responding to protect against unsafe recovery charging. The phone shows nothing when connected to a charger. Connect to a wall adapter and leave it for 20–30 minutes without pressing the power button. The BMS needs a low-current trickle to bring the cell voltage back above the re-initialisation threshold, typically around 2.9V, before normal charging resumes.

Frequently Asked Questions

My ZTE Blade A3 percentage jumps around erratically after I put the new battery in — is it faulty?

It is not faulty. The fuel gauge IC on the Blade A3 is still calibrated to the old cell's discharge curve, so it misreads the state of charge on the new cell. Run one complete discharge down to auto-shutdown, then charge uninterrupted to 100% with fast charging disabled. After that single cycle, the coulomb counter recalibrates and the percentage readings stabilise.

Fast charging stopped working the first time I plugged in the Blade A3 after swapping the battery — what's going on?

On the first cycle after a cell swap, the charge IC sometimes defaults to standard charging because it has not yet verified the new cell's impedance profile. This is normal BMS behaviour, not a fault with the replacement cell or the charger. Let the phone complete one full charge at standard rate, then disconnect and reconnect — fast charge negotiation resumes normally on subsequent cycles.

The Blade A3 gets noticeably warm near the battery compartment while charging right after the replacement — should I stop?

Mild warmth on the first charge is expected. A new cell starts with higher internal impedance than a broken-in cell, so the charge IC dissipates slightly more energy as heat during the initial cycles. If the phone becomes too hot to hold comfortably, stop charging and let it cool. Normal warmth during the first one or two cycles settles down as the cell's impedance drops — monitor until the second full charge confirms the temperature has normalised.
