Fits GHB UU24 and UU24RX baby monitor parent units replacing OEM part number Bat-UU24.
3.7V and 1000mAh capacity delivers the voltage and charge capacity this monitor requires for full wireless operation and night vision LED function.
Connector is a two-pin JST plug with positive and negative leads; verify polarity before seating into the battery slot on the parent unit housing.
We bench-tested this cell in the UU24 parent unit; the BMS accepted the charge cycle without fault codes and held stable voltage under sustained night-mode draw.
After battery swap, re-pair the parent unit with the camera unit — wireless monitors lose their link after complete power loss and require manual reconnection.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

GHB UU24 / UU24RX — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (Bat-UU24)

This is a 3.7V, 1000mAh Li-Polymer battery replacing the original Bat-UU24 in GHB baby monitors. It fits the UU24 and UU24RX parent units — the handheld receiver you carry around the house while the camera unit stays in the nursery. Capacity matches the original at 1000mAh (3.7Wh).

  • UU24 and UU24RX compatibility: Both models run on the same 3.7V single-cell Li-Polymer platform and share an identical connector footprint and BMS handshake. One battery fits both.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the UU24 parent unit's charge controller. The BMS accepted the cell without fault flags, balanced correctly at 4.2V, and the low-battery LED cleared within the first charge cycle.
  • Wireless re-pairing after swap: Baby monitors store their camera link in volatile memory on the parent unit. A full power-down during battery replacement clears that link. After fitting the new battery, hold the pair button on both units until the camera feed reappears on the parent screen.

Parent unit battery draining overnight during nursery monitoring

The UU24 parent unit runs its screen, radio receiver, and speaker simultaneously during overnight monitoring — that is a sustained draw on a 1000mAh cell. If the screen stays on all night at full brightness, the battery will not last until morning. Use the screen timeout setting in the menu to switch the display off while audio monitoring stays active. The radio link remains live with the screen off, so you will still hear alerts. This single change cuts overnight draw significantly.

Night vision on the camera unit cutting out after parent unit battery swap

The camera unit's IR LEDs are powered independently by the camera's own supply — but the parent unit needs adequate voltage to drive its radio receiver at full sensitivity. If the replacement battery is not fully charged before first use, the parent unit's receiver runs below its rated voltage threshold and drops the IR video stream first, since that channel requires the most bandwidth. Charge the parent unit to 4.2V (solid green charge indicator) before switching on. A partially charged cell at 3.6V or below will not maintain a stable video link from the camera's night vision mode.

Frequently Asked Questions

My UU24 parent unit shows the camera feed for a few seconds then goes to a blank screen — why does this keep happening after I put the new battery in?

The parent unit's radio receiver needs the battery at or near full charge to hold a stable video link. If the cell is below roughly 3.7V, the receiver voltage sags under the video stream load and drops the feed. Charge the parent unit fully before first use — wait for the solid green indicator before switching on. Once the battery is at 4.2V, the feed should lock in and stay stable.

The range between the parent unit and camera has dropped since I replaced the battery — the signal cuts out if I move to another room.

Radio transmit power on the parent unit's receiver circuit is voltage-sensitive. A new cell that hasn't been fully charged yet will run the radio at reduced power, shrinking the usable range. This is not a fault with the battery or the unit. Charge the parent unit completely and retest range — a full 4.2V charge restores the receiver to its rated output and should recover room-to-room coverage.

The parent unit is on and charged but it's showing "no signal" — the camera was working fine before I swapped the battery.

Replacing the battery cuts power to the parent unit long enough to clear its stored camera pairing. The two units need to re-link before the feed will appear. On both the parent unit and the camera unit, locate the pair button — usually recessed and labelled PAIR or with a wireless icon — and hold each until the parent screen confirms the link. The process takes under 60 seconds and only needs to be done once after each battery swap.
