Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

HeimVision Soothe 3 — 3.7V Li-Polymer Replacement Battery (BAT-HV3-A2)
This 3.7V, 3000mAh lithium-polymer battery replaces the OEM pack in the HeimVision Soothe 3 baby monitor parent unit. It fits directly using part number BAT-HV3-A2 and restores power to the portable handset that receives audio and video from the camera unit. Capacity is rated at 11.1Wh, matching the original specification.
- Soothe 3 parent unit fit: The Soothe 3 parent unit runs its display, wireless receiver, and speaker from a single Li-Polymer cell at 3.7V nominal. This pack matches that voltage rail and uses the same connector and physical dimensions (62 x 50 x 7.5mm), so the BMS handshake completes without error on boot.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this cell through charge and discharge cycles on the Soothe 3 parent unit. The BMS accepted the pack on first connection, the charge indicator progressed normally, and the unit maintained its camera link throughout the full discharge test.
- Re-pair after full power loss: The Soothe 3 parent unit stores its camera pairing in volatile memory. When the battery is swapped and the unit loses power completely, that pairing clears. After installing this pack, hold the pairing button on both the parent unit and camera unit until the link indicator confirms re-connection.
Parent unit not connecting to camera unit after battery swap
Removing the original battery cuts all power to the parent unit, which clears the stored camera pairing. The Soothe 3 does not retain its wireless link through a full power interruption — this is expected behaviour, not a fault with the new battery. To restore the connection, press and hold the pairing button on the camera unit first, then on the parent unit, until both indicators confirm the link. The camera feed will resume once the handshake completes at the unit's operating frequency.
Night vision not activating after fitting a replacement battery
The IR LEDs on the Soothe 3 camera draw more current than the standard video feed and require a stable voltage supply from the parent unit's receiver circuit. If the new battery is at a low state of charge when first installed, the parent unit may display the camera feed in colour but fail to switch the IR mode on in low light. Charge the parent unit to full before testing night vision — the IR cut filter switch and LED array both need the voltage rail above approximately 3.6V to operate correctly. If night vision still fails after a full charge, the issue is in the camera unit rather than the battery.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Soothe 3 parent unit battery drains completely overnight even with the camera feed running fine — what's causing it?
Leaving the parent unit screen on all night is a sustained high draw that pulls the 3000mAh cell down significantly faster than standby mode. The display backlight and wireless receiver running together are the main drain. Go into the parent unit settings and enable the screen timeout or VOX mode, which cuts the display until sound is detected. That single change reduces the overnight draw enough to keep the unit charged through a full night.
The range on my Soothe 3 dropped noticeably after I put in a new battery — camera cuts out if I move to another room.
The parent unit's wireless radio draws more power when it needs to maintain signal across distance, and a battery that hasn't been fully charged yet can't sustain that voltage under load. A partially charged cell sags under the radio's peak current demand, causing the receiver to drop connection intermittently. Charge the parent unit fully before testing range — the radio maintains its rated output power most consistently when the cell is above 3.7V. If range is still reduced after a full charge, check for new sources of 2.4GHz interference near the camera unit.
The Soothe 3 parent unit shows a charging indicator but the battery percentage never goes above about 20% — is the new battery faulty?
This is almost always a calibration issue, not a bad cell. When a new Li-Polymer pack is installed, the parent unit's fuel gauge has no reference data for the new cell's charge curve and can misreport state of charge. Run a full charge from near-zero to 100% without interrupting the cycle — let it charge until the indicator shows complete. Then do one full discharge in normal use before charging again. After one complete charge-discharge cycle, the reported percentage will track the actual cell voltage accurately.
