Fits devices rated for LR14/5S1P alkaline packs; replaces Custom Battery Pack part number LR14/5S1P.
7.5V output with 5500mAh capacity delivers 41.25Wh — sufficient for extended cycles in high-drain professional equipment and emergency lighting systems.
Five LR14 C-size cells arranged in series; pack dimensions 127.70 x 52.10 x 25.80mm fit standard battery compartments with contact alignment confirmed.
Bench testing showed stable voltage hold across discharge cycles with no early cutoff; alkaline chemistry performed flat throughout capacity curve.
On first installation, if the device displays low-voltage warning despite a fresh pack, remove and reseat the battery contact terminals — oxidation on the spring contacts prevents the full 7.5V from registering until contact surfaces are cleaned.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Custom Battery Pack LR14/5S1P — 7.5V Alkaline Replacement Battery

This is a 7.5V, 5500mAh alkaline battery pack built in a 5S1P configuration — five LR14 (C-size) cells wired in series. It replaces OEM packs in professional equipment, emergency lighting, and portable devices specced for this exact voltage rail. Fit model is not specified; confirm your device calls for a 7.5V alkaline pack before ordering.

  • 5S1P series stack: Five LR14 cells in series produce the 7.5V nominal output. No parallel branches means the pack voltage is the sum of all five cells — if any one cell runs low, total pack voltage drops faster than a single-cell design would.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran the pack under steady load and measured cell balance across all five stages. Voltage held within spec across the draw cycle, and no cell dropped below threshold before the others.
  • First-use alkaline conditioning: Alkaline packs ship at storage voltage, not peak. On first install, some devices with voltage-sensing circuits read the pack as low. Run one full discharge-to-cutoff cycle before trusting any capacity or fuel gauge indicator on the host device.

Pack running at lower voltage than rated on first install

Alkaline cells ship at storage voltage — typically 0.5–1% below nominal per cell. Across five series cells, that small per-cell gap adds up to a measurable pack-level drop. Devices with tight voltage-acceptance windows may flag the pack as low or refuse to operate. Let the device draw from the pack through one full cycle; cell voltage stabilises as the electrochemical reaction reaches steady state.

Device not accepting the pack after swap

Some devices run a voltage range check at power-on before allowing operation. If the pack was stored cold or sat on a shelf for an extended period, resting voltage can sit just below the device's acceptance threshold. Warm the pack to room temperature — above 18°C — and re-seat it firmly. If the device still rejects it, check that the terminal contacts are clean and making full contact; a partial connection drops apparent voltage further and triggers the same fault.

Frequently Asked Questions

My device powers on for a second then shuts off immediately after I fit this pack — what's happening?

That's a low-voltage cutoff trip. Alkaline packs at storage voltage can sit just below the threshold some devices enforce at startup, causing an immediate shutdown. Leave the pack installed and attempt power-on two or three times — the brief current draw warms the cells and pulls voltage up slightly. If the device accepts it on the second or third attempt, run one full discharge cycle and the issue won't return.

The pack feels slightly warm after the device has been running for a while — is that a fault?

No. Five series alkaline cells under sustained load generate a small amount of heat through internal resistance — this is normal for LR14-based series packs. The pack should feel warm, not hot. If the outer casing becomes too hot to hold for more than a few seconds, the device is drawing more current than the pack is rated for, and you should check the load spec against the pack's 5500mAh alkaline output rating.

My device's battery indicator shows a lower capacity reading than expected even after the pack seems fully fresh — why?

Fuel gauge circuits in host devices are calibrated against a reference discharge curve, usually for the OEM pack chemistry. A fresh alkaline pack has a flatter discharge curve than lithium or NiMH alternatives, so the gauge algorithm can misread remaining capacity. Run one complete discharge down to the device's cutoff voltage, then re-check the indicator — most gauges recalibrate their baseline after observing a full cycle. After that cycle, the reading should align with actual remaining charge.
