Battery Care Tips
Battery Care Tips
🔹 Getting Started
Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.
🔹 Keep It Healthy
Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.
Delivery and Shipping
Delivery and Shipping
🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Rollei Actioncam Bullet 6S WiFi — 3.7V Li-ion Replacement Battery (DS-S50)
This is a 3.7V, 1500mAh Li-ion replacement cell for the Rollei Actioncam Bullet 6S WiFi, 7S WiFi, Actioncam 6S WiFi, and Actioncam 7S WiFi. It uses the DS-S50 OEM part number and matches the original cell's voltage, capacity, and physical dimensions exactly at 45.70 x 39.00 x 14.10mm. Swap it in when the original cell no longer holds a useful charge or when you need a spare on location.
- Bullet 6S / 7S WiFi platform fit: The 6S and 7S WiFi share the same battery bay geometry and 3.7V power rail, which is why both models draw from the same DS-S50 cell. The connector pinout and BMS communication protocol are identical across the platform, so one cell covers all four listed models without modification.
- Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this cell through the Bullet 6S WiFi body under sustained 1080p recording load. The BMS accepted the cell on first insertion, voltage held steady through the discharge curve, and the protection circuit tripped correctly at the low-voltage threshold — no unexpected cutoffs mid-session.
- First charge on new cell: Run the first full charge cycle inside the camera body using the original Rollei charger or USB cable rather than a third-party external charger. Some Rollei bodies need one in-camera charge cycle to calibrate the battery-remaining display correctly against the new cell's discharge curve.
Battery percentage jumping erratically on the Bullet 6S WiFi display
The Bullet 6S WiFi estimates remaining charge by mapping display voltage against a stored discharge curve from the original cell. A new replacement cell's discharge curve sits slightly differently — flatter in the mid-range, then dropping off more steeply near the end. The camera's indicator interprets that mismatch as erratic jumps, not a fault with the cell itself. Run two full charge-to-discharge cycles inside the camera body and the indicator will track accurately against the new curve.
Camera showing dead battery indicator on a partially charged DS-S50 cell
If the Bullet 6S WiFi displays a dead or critically low battery icon immediately after inserting a replacement cell, the body's BMS has not yet authenticated the new cell against its voltage reference. This happens most often when the cell rested in storage and surface voltage dropped below the camera's acceptance threshold — typically around 3.4V. Place the cell in the camera, connect it to charge via the OEM cable for at least 15 minutes, then power on. That short charge pulse brings the cell above the 3.6V threshold the BMS requires to register a valid battery.

Frequently Asked Questions
My Rollei Bullet 6S WiFi shows "no battery" the moment I put the new DS-S50 cell in — is the cell dead?
The cell is almost certainly fine. The Bullet 6S WiFi rejects cells whose resting voltage has dropped below roughly 3.4V during storage, triggering the no-battery flag before any reading even occurs. Connect the camera to its OEM USB charger with the cell installed and leave it for 15–20 minutes without powering on. Once the cell climbs above 3.6V, the BMS will register it and the body will power on normally.
The battery percentage on my Bullet 6S WiFi jumps from 80% straight to 20% — why is a new cell doing this?
The Bullet 6S WiFi maps display percentage to a voltage curve calibrated to the original factory cell. A replacement cell's discharge curve sits slightly differently, so the indicator loses track in the mid-range and jumps to catch up. This is a calibration mismatch, not a capacity problem. Run two full charge-discharge cycles inside the camera body and the percentage readout will stabilise against the new cell's actual curve.
Shot count dropped sharply in cold weather even with a fully charged DS-S50 — what's happening?
Cold temperatures raise internal resistance in Li-ion cells, which reduces the voltage the cell can sustain under load. The Bullet 6S WiFi's BMS interprets the resulting voltage sag as a low-battery condition and cuts the camera off earlier than the actual stored charge would warrant. Keep the spare cell in an inner jacket pocket between shots to hold it above 10°C, and the available capacity between charges will recover noticeably compared to leaving it exposed to the cold.
