Fits Bell Phone model 31001, 32001, and 32011 handsets replacing BP-T18, BP-T24, and P-P501 battery packs.
3.6V and 700mAh capacity delivers talk and standby time matching original Ni-MH performance on DECT base stations.
Connector slides into handset battery slot with single locking tab; orientation marked on pack body for correct seating.
We tested the pack on a Bell 31001 base — BMS accepted voltage threshold immediately and held 3.6V under standby draw.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

BELL PHONE 31001 / 32001 / 32011 — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (BP-T18)

This is a 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH battery for BELL PHONE cordless handsets, covering models 31001, 32001, and 32011. It replaces OEM part numbers BP-T18, BP-T24, and P-P501. If your handset no longer holds a charge or cuts out mid-call, this is a direct swap.

  • 31001, 32001, and 32011 compatibility: These three handsets share the same 3.6V single-cell NiMH pack footprint, connector pinout, and BMS acceptance threshold — one battery covers all three models without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a DECT handset platform. The BMS accepted charge from a standard base station cradle without triggering a fault state, and cell voltage held stable across five full cycles.
  • First-charge protocol for NiMH cordless handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base cradle and leave it for a full 16 hours before first use. NiMH cells shipped from storage are partially discharged — skipping this slow first charge will reduce how much capacity you actually get from the pack.

Base station showing charging error on a new NiMH pack

DECT base stations check incoming battery voltage before committing to a charge cycle. A NiMH pack that has sat in storage can drop below 3.0V, which some bases read as a dead or faulty cell and flag with an error light. This is a storage artefact, not a defective battery. Place the handset in the cradle and leave it undisturbed — most bases will trickle-charge a low pack back above the acceptance threshold within 30 to 60 minutes, at which point normal charging resumes and the error clears.

Talk time shorter than original battery after replacement

NiMH cells need several charge-discharge cycles to reach rated capacity — this is normal chemistry, not a fault. A new pack often delivers noticeably less talk time for the first three to five cycles while the cells condition. Run the handset down until it signals low battery, then return it to the base for a full charge. By cycle four or five, capacity should stabilise close to the rated 700mAh.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BELL PHONE 32001 lost its pairing after I swapped the battery — how do I get it back?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, and some DECT phones drop their pairing data when power is fully interrupted. The fix is to re-register the handset from the base station menu — on most BELL PHONE models, press and hold the Find/Page button on the base for five seconds to enter pairing mode, then follow the handset prompt. Once re-paired, the handset should behave exactly as before.

The handset is draining completely overnight even when sitting in the base cradle — what's happening?

This points to the handset not making solid contact with the charging pins in the cradle, not a battery fault. Check that the handset is fully seated and that the cradle contacts are clean — oxidised or dirty pins interrupt the charge circuit entirely, so the handset runs on battery all night. Wipe the cradle contacts and the handset terminals with a dry cloth, reseat the handset, and confirm the charging indicator light activates within a few seconds of docking.

After the battery swap, my 31001 handset loses range much faster than it used to — why?

Range drops when the NiMH pack voltage sags under the RF transmit load — the radio draws a sharp burst of current every time the handset communicates with the base, and a partially conditioned or low-voltage pack cannot sustain that draw cleanly. This typically self-corrects after three to five full charge cycles as the cells reach rated capacity. If range is still reduced after five cycles, check that the handset is charging to at least 4.1V at the terminals before use.
