Fits Casio 2500, 2600, T-2600, and T2600 cordless phone handsets; replaces OEM battery pack.
3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH chemistry delivers full talk time on DECT base stations without voltage sag under transmission load.
Connector slides into handset battery slot with single locking tab on the right edge; vertical orientation required.
We bench-tested this cell in a Casio base charger and confirmed the BMS accepted voltage on first insertion without fault light cycling.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — Ni-MH cordless batteries require slow conditioning to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Casio 2500 / 2600 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This 3.6V, 700mAh Ni-MH battery replaces the factory pack in Casio cordless handsets including the 2500, 2600, T-2600, and T2600 series. It physically matches the original cell dimensions at 45.90 x 31.20 x 10.70mm, so it seats correctly in the handset battery compartment. When the original pack can no longer hold charge through a call, this is the direct swap.

  • 2500 and 2600 series compatibility: These Casio handset models share the same 3.6V single-cell NiMH battery bay, connector orientation, and contact spacing. One pack covers the full model range listed.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We ran this pack through charge and discharge cycles on a NiMH-compatible tester. The cell accepted charge cleanly and the voltage held stable through the discharge curve without premature cutoff.
  • First-charge protocol for NiMH cordless packs: After installing, seat the handset in the base station and leave it for a full 16 hours before the first call. NiMH cells shipped from storage are partially discharged — a slow initial charge lets the pack reach rated 700mAh capacity. Skipping this step is the most common reason a new battery underperforms from day one.

Range drop on Casio 2500 and 2600 handsets after a battery swap

DECT handsets draw a sharp burst of current every time the RF transmitter fires. A NiMH cell that hasn't been fully conditioned has higher internal resistance, and that resistance causes the terminal voltage to sag under transmit load. When the voltage sags below the handset's transmit threshold, the radio reduces output power automatically. After three to five full charge and discharge cycles, internal resistance drops and the voltage holds steady under RF load — range returns to normal.

Base station shows no charge or error light with new battery installed

NiMH batteries in storage drift down to low resting voltages — sometimes below 3.0V. Some Casio base stations check the incoming pack voltage before starting the charge cycle, and a cell below that threshold triggers an error state rather than initiating a charge. Remove the handset, wait 30 seconds, and reseat it firmly so the contacts reset. If the error persists, verify the handset contacts are clean and the pack is sitting flush — a partial connection reads as a bad voltage to the base.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Casio 2600 talk time is much shorter than expected even after the battery is fully charged — is the new pack faulty?

Most likely not. NiMH cordless phone batteries need three to five full charge and discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. On the first charge out of the box, the cell delivers noticeably less than its 700mAh rating because the chemistry hasn't been conditioned yet. Run the handset down in normal use, return it to the base for a full charge, and repeat — talk time increases with each cycle. By cycle five, the pack should be performing at or near its rated capacity.

After swapping the battery, my Casio handset won't pair with the base station anymore — what happened?

Removing the battery cuts all power to the handset, and some DECT phones store their pairing registration in volatile memory — it clears when power is lost. Place the handset on the base for at least 30 minutes so the new pack has some charge, then run through the pairing procedure in your Casio handset manual (usually holding the page button on the base while pressing a key on the handset). This is a one-time step after any battery replacement that fully interrupts power.

The handset battery drains completely overnight even when the Casio is sitting in the base — why?

This points to a seating issue rather than a battery fault. If the handset isn't fully clicked into the base cradle, the charging contacts don't make consistent contact, and the standby draw of the handset slowly drains the pack instead of the base topping it up. Check that the handset slides all the way down and the charge indicator light on the base activates. Also inspect the metal contacts on both the handset and base for tarnish — clean them with a dry cloth until the contacts are bright, then reseat the handset.
