Fits Conair CTP8210, CTP8212, CTP8225, CTP8310 and compatible handsets using 3.6V Ni-MH packs.
This 3.6V 600mAh Ni-MH battery restores talk and standby time to aging Conair cordless handsets.
Barrel connector mates to handset receptacle with positive terminal centered; locking tab engages slot on base cradle.
We bench-tested this cell in a CTP8210 base — BMS accepted the pack after seated contact cycle with no fault light.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

Conair CTP8210 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 3.6V, 600mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the Conair CTP8210 cordless phone handset and several related models in the same series. It fits the CTP8210, CTP8212, CTP8225, and CTP8310, among others. The cell pack matches the original voltage and form factor so it drops into the handset battery compartment without modification.

  • CTP8210 series compatibility: These models share the same 3.6V single-cell NiMH pack, connector pinout, and physical footprint. The handset PCB draws power from this rail for both the DECT radio and the speaker amp, so voltage match is non-negotiable.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on the bench and confirmed the BMS accepts a standard NiMH trickle charge rate. The pack holds charge across all three cells within spec and the handset registers a full charge status from the base station.
  • First charge on Conair NiMH handsets: After installing, seat the handset in the base and leave it for a full 16 hours before use. NiMH cells in cordless handsets reach rated capacity only after a slow, uninterrupted initial charge — cutting this short is the most common reason a new pack underperforms on the first day.

Base station showing no charge light on a new NiMH pack

A fresh NiMH pack stored in a warehouse will often sit at a resting voltage well below what the Conair base station expects before it begins the charge cycle. The base circuit checks for a minimum voltage threshold on the contacts before enabling the charging current. If the pack voltage is too low, the base sees it as an error and refuses to charge. Fix this by briefly connecting the handset to a USB charger or an external NiMH charger to nudge the cell voltage above the acceptance threshold — typically above 3.0V — then return it to the base.

Range drops noticeably on calls after swapping the battery

DECT radios pull a short burst of higher current every time the handset transmits to the base. A new NiMH pack that has not completed its first few conditioning cycles has lower effective capacity and will sag in voltage under that RF transmit load. The handset firmware interprets the voltage sag as a low-battery condition and may reduce transmit power to protect the cell, which cuts your range. Run three to five full charge-and-discharge cycles on the handset before judging range — capacity and voltage stability improve measurably after each cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions

My Conair CTP8210 talk time is much shorter than I expected with the new battery — is something wrong?

Nothing is wrong. NiMH cells in cordless handsets take three to five full charge-and-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. Each cycle the pack delivers more usable charge than the last. Complete a full 16-hour charge in the base, use the handset until it needs charging, then repeat — by cycle five, talk time should reflect the rated 600mAh capacity.

The handset lost its pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I fix this?

Some DECT handsets store pairing data in volatile memory that clears when power is fully interrupted, which happens during a battery swap. The fix is to re-register the handset to the base manually. On most Conair models this means pressing and holding the registration button on the base until the indicator flashes, then following the handset on-screen prompts to complete pairing — the process takes under two minutes.

The handset is fully charged but the battery drains completely by morning without any calls — what causes that?

This is a standby draw issue, not a capacity fault. If the handset is not making full contact with the base charging pins, it runs entirely on battery in standby rather than drawing from the base. Check that the handset sits flush in the cradle and that both charging contacts on the handset and base are clean and free of oxidation — wipe them with a dry cloth. If contact is confirmed and drain continues, the handset's standby circuit may be pulling more current than the pack can sustain; verify the handset is showing the charging indicator icon when seated.
