Doro TH50 / TH55 / TH60 / TH65 — 2.4V Ni-MH Replacement Battery

This is a 2.4V 600mAh Ni-MH battery for the Doro TH50, TH55, TH60, and TH65 cordless phone handsets. These four models share the same battery bay dimensions (35.40 × 32.50 × 6.70mm) and the same 2.4V NiMH cell configuration. Swap the old pack out and seat the handset back in its base.

• TH50 / TH55 / TH60 / TH65 compatibility: All four handsets use the same physical footprint and 2.4V two-cell NiMH arrangement. The base station charging circuit expects the same voltage profile across the range, so one pack covers all four models without modification.
• Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through the standard base station charge circuit and confirmed the NiMH cells accept charge current correctly from the first cycle. The protection circuit holds within the 2.4V nominal rail throughout discharge.

Talk time shorter than expected after the first few days

NiMH cells leave storage in a partially discharged state and do not hit rated capacity on the first cycle. The Doro TH-series base delivers a trickle charge, so the cells condition gradually over three to five full charge-and-use cycles. Each cycle adds measurable capacity until the pack stabilises near its 600mAh rating. If talk time is still noticeably short after five cycles, check that the handset is seating flush in the base — a poor contact cuts charge current before the pack is full.

Base station charge light not activating after battery swap

A new NiMH pack shipped from a warehouse can sit below 2.0V after months in storage. Some Doro base stations will not initiate the charge cycle if the incoming voltage is too low — the controller reads it as a fault rather than a flat battery. Place the handset in the base, wait two minutes, then remove and reseat it firmly. This reset prompt is usually enough to kick the base into trickle-charge mode and recover the pack up to a voltage the controller accepts as normal.
