Fits SpectraLink BPX100, I640, PTX110, PTX151 handsets; replaces OEM part SK37H1-D and HBPX100-M.
3.6V and 1100mAh Ni-MH delivers full talk time on DECT cordless phones; capacity sufficient for day-shift handsets on standard base charging cycles.
Barrel connector seats straight into handset battery slot; locking tab engages on both sides to prevent accidental ejection during use.
We cycled this pack through five charge-discharge loops on a SpectraLink base station; BMS accepted voltage handshake on cycle two, full capacity by cycle four.
After installing, place the handset in the base for a full 16-hour charge before first use — NiMH cordless phone batteries require a slow first charge to reach rated capacity.

Battery Care Tips

🔹 Getting Started

Charge your new battery fully before you use it for the first time. Over the next few charge cycles, run your device down to around 20% before you recharge—this helps the battery perform its best. After that, charge whenever you need to.

🔹 Keep It Healthy

Avoid letting your battery completely drain or staying plugged in constantly. Both extremes wear it out faster. Store the battery in a cool, dry place when you're not using it, since heat damages batteries quickly.

Delivery and Shipping

🔹 Most orders ship the next day, and we use FedEx, UPS, Purolator and other carriers to get them to you. Lithium batteries have to ship by ground only, not air or USPS. Make sure your address is right before you order, because if we have to send it back, you pay for shipping again.

SpectraLink BPX100 / I640 Series — 3.6V Ni-MH Replacement Battery (SK37H1-D)

This is a 3.6V, 1100mAh Ni-MH replacement battery for the SpectraLink BPX100 cordless handset and related models in the I640, PTX110, and PTX151 lines. It slots into the handset and restores wireless voice capability when the original pack no longer holds a usable charge. Capacity is 3.96Wh, matching the original specification.

  • BPX100, I640, PTX110, PTX151 compatibility: These handsets share the same 3.6V single-cell NiMH bay, connector pinout, and base-station charge circuit. The SK37H1-D pack fits all of them without modification.
  • Bench tested on actual hardware: We cycled this pack through charge and discharge on a BPX100 handset. The BMS accepted charge immediately from a cold state, and voltage held steady under simulated RF transmit load without triggering a low-voltage cutoff.
  • First-charge conditioning for NiMH handsets: Place the handset in the base cradle for a full 16-hour charge before first use. NiMH cells in cordless phones need a slow initial charge to reach rated capacity — skipping this step is the single most common cause of short talk time on new replacement packs.

Why range drops on the BPX100 after a battery swap

The BPX100 transmitter draws a sharp current spike each time it sends a DECT burst. If the NiMH pack is not fully conditioned, internal resistance is higher than rated, and voltage sags during that spike. The base station interprets the weak signal as distance — not a battery issue — so the handset shows full bars but range is reduced. After three to five full charge cycles, internal resistance drops and the voltage sag shrinks. If range is still short after five cycles, check that the handset is seating fully in the cradle and the charge contacts are clean.

Base station shows no-charge or error light after installing new pack

NiMH packs lose voltage during storage and can arrive below the threshold the SpectraLink base station uses to detect a valid battery — typically around 3.0V. When the base sees a voltage below that threshold, it flags an error instead of starting a charge cycle. Remove the handset, leave it out of the base for 30 seconds, then reseat it firmly so all three charge contacts are touching. If the error persists, check that the pack voltage reads at least 2.8V with a multimeter — anything below that may need a manual trickle-charge pulse before the base will accept it.

Frequently Asked Questions

My BPX100 talk time is still short after replacing the battery — is the new pack faulty?

Almost certainly not. NiMH cordless phone batteries need three to five full charge-and-discharge cycles before they reach rated capacity. On cycle one, you may see noticeably shorter talk time — that is normal cell behaviour, not a defect. Run the handset until it signals low battery, then return it to the base for a full charge, and repeat. By cycle five, talk time should be close to the 1100mAh rated figure.

The BPX100 handset stopped pairing with the base after I swapped the battery — how do I fix it?

Some DECT handsets lose their pairing registration when power is completely removed, because the pairing data is held in a memory circuit that depends on continuous battery voltage. The fix is a manual re-registration: hold the paging or find-handset button on the base for five seconds until the base enters pairing mode, then follow the handset's registration sequence from the menu. You do not need a new battery — this is a power-interruption reset, not a battery fault.

The BPX100 battery drains overnight even when the handset is sitting in the base — what causes that?

This points to a seating or contact issue, not battery capacity. If the handset is not fully pushed into the cradle, the charge contacts do not close the circuit and the base never starts a charge cycle — the handset runs on standby draw all night and arrives at morning with a depleted pack. Remove the handset, clean the three charge contacts on both the handset and the base with a dry cloth, then reseat it firmly until you hear or feel it click into position. Confirm charging has started by checking that the base indicator light changes state within 30 seconds.
